There should be a full investigation of Palin's ties to the Alaska Independence Party and Joe Vogler, who, before his untimely death (trying to buy explosives) was scheduled to give a speech sponsored by Iran at the UN in 1993. The speech was to be on Alaskan independence. Palin was a member of the AIP and sent the party congress a video message wishing them luck. McCain+Palin = 49 States and an independent Alaska. I completely agree. There should be a full investigation of Palin's ties to the Alaska Independence Party and Joe Vogler, who, before his untimely death (trying to buy explosives) was scheduled to give a speech sponsored by Iran at the UN in 1993. The speech was to be on Alaskan independence. Palin was a member of the AIP and sent the party congress a video message wishing them luck. McCain+Palin = 49 States and an independent Alaska. This is what we should be asking her about, not newspapers.

I am a Psychologist who has worked in the field of gerontology for over 15 yrs in both clinical and private settings.
I can attest that McCain very very clearly suffers Alzheimer's Disease. There are several dementias but his symptoms point to Alzh.

Face it - the only reason McCain is bringing up this Ayers guy is to wag the dog to take the focus off the economy. McCain is partly to blame for this current economic crisis via his 26 years of pushing for deregulation in the Senate.
In the process however, McCain is losing respect from Americans who want him to discuss the issues, not hurl frivolous accusations that do absolutely nothing for them.
Americans are smarter than John McCain gives them credit. Time to stop dumbing down politics.

Agreed. Fox news is a network which spreads vile hatred and undermines progressive ideals. As such, Pelosi and many other Democrats strongly support the return of the fairness doctrine, as well as it's expansion to television transmissions. To remove the constant need for new appointments to the FCC, one idea that's been floated is a seperate media control board, appointed by the majority party in congress.
