Anyone know how old Charice is in this performance? This video was uploaded in 2008, so she can't be more than 16 years old. To sing like this at 16 is damn impressive! I heard her sing this song this year, when she is 19 (still a teenager), and OMG, she'll make you cry.
How the hell did I miss this video in my 3 years of following Charice? I only "found" this after watching her perform this song at DFF in Tokyo 10-19-11. Anyway, she's amazing.

It's hard to compare Beyonce and Charise. Beyonce is much older and has had much more voice training and experience overall. I do think that Charice for her age is better that Beyonce if that makes any sense.

Beyonce has a more technical voice, she can change notes without going off pitch, she has an excellent vibrato. Obviously it'snot fair to compare them because beyonce is probably twice charice's age when she sung the song. But if you were to compare you can't deny beyonce sang it better, unless you're biased.

i see some comments comparing Charice to Beyonce... just remember Charice sang that song at 7 in the morning.. while Beyonce were singing and well prepared maybe early evening.. so no comparison there... try having Beyonce sing at 7 in the morning and then we can compare..

Now she has an album out (look for it on iTunes called "Charice") and collaborating on her sophomore album w guys like Bruno Mars and Taboo (Black Eyed Peas). She LOVES Beyonce & Whitney & Celine Dion & Tamia. In fact, she did a beautiful mash-up of Tamia's 'Officially Missing You' in concert 2 months ago. She'll be 19 soon on May 10th

First off- CHarice's native language isn't English, this isn't her song, and she is only 15 here whereas Destiny's Child was already matured, sings english fluently, and it is THEIR song. Even with those setbacks, Charice is vocally stronger and more impressive than them. Charice can sing ANY genre, these girls just sing RNB. DC is great don't get me wrong, but we are talking about vocal ability. Charice wins hands down. She is being compared to Whitney for crying out loud.

Charice is better than beyonce, no contest at all! Cahrice's voice is much more soulful! Beyonce has a voice that is very common and commercial. It's what's everyone is listening to now. It's because of people like Beyonce that talent like Charice's is often unoticed here in America. That's why I've stareted listening to international Artist Like Celine Dion. It's hard to compare Beyonce and Charise. Beyonce is much older and has had much more voice training and experience overall. I do think that Charice for her age is better that Beyonce if that makes any sense.

Charice has a more powerful voice but that doesn't make her voice better.
Beyonce has a more technical voice, she can change notes without going off pitch, she has an excellent vibrato. Obviously it'snot fair to compare them because beyonce is probably twice charice's age when she sung the song. But if you were to compare you can't deny beyonce sang it better, unless you're biased.

Put Charice on the search and there you will see. I love the way Charice sings other people's songs. She sings it not ordinarily and the younger generation are able to experience how the song should be and people all over the world can experience it as well. She sings old songs and revives its for all of us. Not many can do this and that is why a lot are noticing such as Oprah and DAVID FOSTER! Who has worked with Mariah and Celine. Her character is also as great as her many talents.
