I've never been so ambivalent about a topic as I am with mediums. I see one perform very well and I believe. I see another perform poorly and I doubt. Then I hear about an alleged medium being exposed as a fraud and I think they're all frauds. I doubt I'll ever figure it out.

I've read all of Gordon Smith's books and he answers those questions in the books. He has been tested by scientists at a Glasgow University. Gordon is the real deal! He's amazing.
They did many different tests but one of them involved gathering a large group of people gordon didn't know or didn't even see as they were put in a separate room and he tried to recieve messages for these people and the stuff he came out with was 95% accurate and related to only two people. You must read his books. He doesn't charge for readings, so the only income he receives are from his book sales. He is genuine I promise you!

I don't think anything you could show Mavis will change his mind. It seems to me he is beholden to a belief system and must reject anything that challenges that belief system. Funny how no medium has ever asked the departed what heaven or god is like for someone....I wonder if any of them will ever dare? Can someone please ask the next time they go? Obviously if they're getting names of relatives and pin point accurate descriptions of family relationships while conversing with the dead it's just a matter of time before we know what god looks like. Same old tricks...same old bollocks. It would be funny ...if it wasn't so sad.

try reading some literature around spiritualism and you will find descriptions of the 'spirit world'. secondly as Gordon says you won't convince the sceptics. Have you ever personally been to a spiritualist church to see for yourself (they are free normally) ?

I've never been so ambivalent about a topic as I am with mediums. I see one perform very well and I believe. I see another perform poorly and I doubt. Then I hear about an alleged medium being exposed as a fraud and I think they're all frauds. I doubt I'll ever figure it out.

I absolutely feel the same! My opinions on mediumship and psychics change constantly depending on what I watch and read. I believe one day, then disbelieve another.

I've read all of Gordon Smith's books and he answers those questions in the books. He has been tested by scientists at a Glasgow University. Gordon is the real deal! He's amazing.

they also monitored his brain waves as he did readings and they were apparently going wild as he was doing the reading. Weird or what.

They did many different tests but one of them involved gathering a large group of people gordon didn't know or didn't even see as they were put in a separate room and he tried to recieve messages for these people and the stuff he came out with was 95% accurate and related to only two people. You must read his books. He doesn't charge for readings, so the only income he receives are from his book sales. He is genuine I promise you!

He's good that Gordon Smith. I reckon if there is a medium with some skill, it is Gordon. There are many charlatans in that game but I am pretty sure Gordon is not one of them. Nice to hear some bagpipes from Tubular Bells II on this too.

Oh dear, oh dear, Woopswrongplanet. Where is the very last place that everyone would expect to search for and to find the devil & all its demonic emissaries? In the established church! What better hiding-place for evil to seek the cover of doing good whilst dividing people across the world, causing suffering, enmities, bloodshed and hatred. Religious belief, blind faith and intolerance of the possibility of alternative truths are the achievements of demonic forces masquerading behind religion.

Then I all I can say is your not studying real medimums? if your studying them then you must have either need to find it to be wrong or the need to find it right. Im a medium and have abosluty no finnacail gain or alteria motive to give people evidance of the their loved ones in the sprit world. Ive too much respect for my self, other people and the those that live in the next world to make anything up. im sure ther are fake mediums, but im luck enough to say ive not met one yet, regards M

I don't think anything you could show Mavis will change his mind. It seems to me he is beholden to a belief system and must reject anything that challenges that belief system. I saw where he has put up a video accusing Gordon Smith of cold reading and when someone challenged his assertions he blocked them. I would like to think Mavis will one day be able to approach the subject fairly, and with a open mind, but right now I think he's at a point where he views it as a threat and must attack.

I was not trying to be negative, I was just speaking the truth.
I have done the research. There was a time when I thought that seeing or hearing from spirits was proof it was "the real" religion. I came to realize, the hard way, that God never told us it wasn't real. He said it was evil, and to avoid it.
Psychics, on the other hand, are either consorting with demons, or faking it. One or the other.
So if you get some really good proof from one, consider the source of your information.

hi there, you have some valid points there, but it really depends on your mindset. People who are of a negative mindset, have addictions or addictive personalities, mess with evp, ouija boards etc, or do not believe in their protection prayers, will experience negative entites/spirit.
Hearing/seeing spirit, is not religion, its only slight proof that we survive death.
Ultimately, the "truth" is a personal choice though ;0)

Those messages aren't from their loved ones, but from demons whispering in his spiritual ear. What better way to draw people in and away from God than to tell them what they want to hear and give "proof" of it. Necromancy is dangerous.

I too have heard "things" that i would wish never to have been aware of, but i would never be able to distinguish "good & bad" spirit.
There is nothing to fear but fear itself.
And yes,necromancy is dangerous, but so are people with rigid beliefs! "Saved & doomed" & "them & us" attitudes, are killing this planet and its people.

sure beats being a barber gordon - ive noticed that most male mediums sound poofy maybe to be psychic you need to be really sensitive right enough gordon smith,derek acorah, colin fry and the best one is american i thimk - not john edwards but he is quite fat and talks really poofy and has a sort of dutch name james van prague or something is this a coincidence or what lol
