What kinda MPG change did you see with the lift. I'm torn between a Tundra and an Avalanche and either way it will be lifted. Good lookin truck though, nice to see it actually off road!

@rasey077 na with the 5.7 there was no need to change gearing and with it being geared 4.30 it still has plenty of power! It will run other stock trucks in the ground and still towes awesome even with it being lifted! Gas mileage sucked stock so it knocked it down to about 12mpg! Just got the hyper tech chip in it and it def helps with gas mileage! Preciate the positive feed

I had no clue the Tundras were geared so tall from the factory...no wonder they haul so much ass! I drive an 07 CC Silverado with bolt ons and tried running with a Tundra and I was put to shame. I think I am going to go with the Tundra, especially if I can find a newer used one with the RR interior. Nice to see the MPG didn't suffer even more with the 37s..i'm getting around 12-13 now so it shouldn't hurt too bad. Thanks for the response!

@hallurs oh i believe it! i went through a creek after it rained earlier that day and it did fine... and that was BEFORE the 3in lift and 33in a/t's... but i had the stock air intake and since then i put in a K&N CAI and since its more "open" than the stock "box-style" air intake, i just wasent sure if it was a good idea lol! :D

@TheRealTDawg I'm quite sure that you can either fit the stock box over the K&N intake or get a new box that does fit for it. And even though it's started to get a bit of water in it then you still can keep it alive. Just giving it a bit gas and trying to keep it moving and it should be OK. I've actually gone that deep once on a 36" musso that the car floated down the river and the engine was alive the whole time. the key was to not let it idle at that time.
