  • I never though I could see Janick Gers in High Heels...

  • His chilling scream...... just brilliant :)

  • Love it! Thanks . . . .

  • Мы умираем.....

  • I remember buying the single when I was 14,sweet memories

  • Is it me or was GILLAN sometimes almost better than DP? Certainly the coolest band of the early 80's!

  • @oporuy Agree mate. Gillan also had an amazing guitarist in Bernie Torme. Janick was cool also.

  • Wail for me Gillan and only me. Truly magnificent x

  • I was there. Fcuking awesome

  • I was there. Best rock band in the world

  • Excellent post. I'd never heard a Gers version of this superb non-album single before. Shame the band Gillan had to fold, they were a class outfit, intelligent rock with great musicianship. Cheers.

  • Thanks for the great video..............saw Gillan in 1980 when I was just 18 yrs old..... brought back so many memories watching this.

  • deeply touching my emotions.beautiful song with the lyrics-sadly to say ,but still so actual!

  • The way it's planned

they'll only let the fools survive

the way it's planned you would not want to stay alive..

  • Gers, what a cock. God knows he got the Maiden gig. Bring back Berne.

  • @meddlecho gers is a cock? do u no him personally to no hes a cock shut your stupid fuckin mouth you gobshite gers is an amazing guitar player

  • I used to love this - when I was a 14 year old kid - but basically its appalling - a waste of Ians Gillans voice - which can be fabulous

  • @lespaulzep You're kidding, right? Okay it's not classic Gillan, but if you'd never heard him before you're not going to be thinking "Wow, he's a worse singer than Dio". Because he's not. This is a GOOD example of Gillan, but I'll admit it's no classic!

  • Superb song. Better with the piano intro than before when it was played on the guitar. The voice of Ian is incredibly full of emotion. A shame it misses the guitar solo at the end.

  • @phiphi64 from where i stand even if it happened the world will still survive .the ocean is always a back up . dang its where we came from. the success of man has fooled him into thinking he is the only one, and he is vain if he thinks he is that powerfulthat the earth cannot survive without him

  • But then I have a crew cut. So I never will be!!!

  • ......I wish I was that handsome aswell!

  • midnighttilldawn- I wish I was that 'Chubby' instead of being obese!!! LOL!

  • No Torme though!

  • A chubby Ian Gillan..look at that double chin!!!

  • again,I will always love this song...beautiful...

  • I cant stand his butt!!!! :)))))

  • Me tooooooo!!!! :))))

  • Yes, firebird116, he has! ;) That black Strat with maple fretboard was actually a present from Big Ian.

    Cheers, Jan

    Janick is excellent

I love my Ian Gillan so much, he is all I got...His music makes me happy or sad sometimes, when I'm depressed...

  • Went to a Gillan concert in the early 80's and Gillan sat on a stool and signed autographs for ages afterwards. A really decent bloke.

  • Such an underated band. I always thought they were genuine quality, and so much more than Ian and a backing band.

  • I love Ian Gillan!

  • Wasn't this during the "Double Trouble" tour? My first ever concert - cowboy boots brand new for the occasion.

  • Gillan this is the man fantastic

  • Great deep song!!!I love Gillan

  • God, I haven't heard this for years. Saw them on tour in 1982 when I was a 14 year old stoner, terrified that the Falkland crisis would end up with us all getting nuked.

  • One of my favourite song...

  • Colin Towns = greatest keyboard player in hard rock, bar none!

  • What a voice he has. I based my Higher English creative writing exam on this song - the lyrics addressed what teenagers feared in 1981. Rock on :)

  • Ян Гиллан - мой любимый мужчина и лучший вокал мира!

  • Janick is God!

    happy birthday :)

  • He was in good form here, just before the MKII reunion.

  • That Guitar Gers Played On Play Gers On In Iron Maiden
