This address is so full of flaws it is hard to know where to begin. The townships in South Africa, particularly Soweto were never walled. There were numerous roads going in and out. Apartheid was not about intimidating blacks to leave South Africa, but controlling their labour within defined areas. Apartheid was based on race, Zionism is not. There are black Jews and white Jews. In South Africa, this would never be acceptable.

What is not mentioned is that in the homelands of Apartheid South Africa the "blacks" has full rights. The Indians got rich in this period. The Africans couldn't for some reason organize themselves at all. Yes segregation was wrong, but this lack of organizational skill needs to be clarified.

So true what he says about Jo'burg. My folks friends say they lived and went to school in places like Jeppestown (near central Joburg) in the 50s and 60s, it was wealthy, safe and totally white. Nowadays, downtown Joburg is a no-go area for all middle/upper classes (most of whom are white). As late as 1995 you could go to a movie or a nice restaurant in this area but no one would dare now, even in daylight its risky. People are murdered for a wrist watch or a few 'rands' in their wallet.
