How do you brake

Let's say you're cruisin' down regular style (left foot first)..

Just like on a snowboard, you want to always stay on an edge (the edge is like the outer wheels of the freebord). To brake, roll the weight of your uphill (right) foot away from the outer wheel to the center, swiveling wheel. This allows the board to slide out and your right foot will slide down so that you're going down hill sideways. Now jam that weight back on the outer wheels and you'll slow down nicely.

if you've skateboarded for a while it's kinda difficult to get used to as it looks like it should ride like one. even if you've snowboarded there is a learning curve, but easier. after some tweaking, and a bit of getting used to they're pretty easy to ride.
