@Tititias LOL! NO one ever knows what I'm talking about. I'd say, "Remember the song? "when it looks like you will take a lickin'...buk-buk-buk-buk! ... Caaaall for Superchicken - Bu-KAWK!'" (they would look at me like you'd expect) I was starting to think I had imagined it until the invent of youtube! (Extra points if you remember the Electra Woman/Dynagirl Krofft creation which has also been proven to exist outside my imagination by youtube as well)
@VulpineJessica maybe not - flipping the videos can keep the DRM jackals away because it alters the content enough to not be picked up by algorithmic means and yet doesn't detract from the viewing as much as speeding or slowing the clip or altering the sound. If you think its stupid that it has to be done like that way, read up on copyright laws and write congress and vote against stupid stuff like the SOPA bill
@VulpineJessica It has always been a backwards F because he's silly. I just noticed that the main hero is a chicken and hissidekick is a lion. Think about it...
its hard for me to ecept the fact that im all most 60 and i still like this cartoon i may be old but i refuse to gro up life is to short enjoy youth while you have it because when its gone it aint comin back
When i was a kid in the mid eighties and this was in syndication on TV my stepfather would always sing the theme song to SuperChicken. I still don't know how he could remember all the lyrics LOL!
In the theme song, Super Chicken should not question the way that kid is disciplined. No wonder there's so many delinquents now. THANK YOU SUPER CHICKEN!
Not just Snagglepuss, but Yogi Bear, Quick-Draw McGraw, Huckleberry Hound, Elroy Jetson, and the original Cap'n Crunch, as well as dozens more. His name was Daws Butler.
still as good as when i was in it--i mean when it was made--great storylines--why isnt there the original theme to george of the jungle here on YT---puk, puk--its been hijacked by the new version - get super sauce Fred
out here in L.A., super chicken was shown on sunday mornings on tom hatten's (?) popeye show. i actually won a contest on that show. i got two tickets to the now non-existent Sea World here in southern calfornia.
I remember those days well. Marine Land. Man we might be long lost brothers. I went a few times. Do you remember Bush Gardens?? Anyways, do you remember the other show on those Sunday mornings? the one with the super heroes. One was a baby.
Finally! My nickname's been Super Chicken ever since I started seeing these on Saturday afternoons. I've been looking everywhere for the cartoons, thank you :D
Proof that cartoons now just suck! Jay Ward, Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Walter Lantz were all geniouses! Everyone tries to copy them now, and can't even come close!
I remember that cry- I always wanted to put it on my Yak-Bak so I could have it, but it was always a tad too long for it, so I was always disappointed. Thank you for posting this- please post more!
@Granitoons Well, yeah, but he's a SUPER chicken! heh
