  • I am watching this video about to go pick up a 23 Hunter in an hour. Looking forward to this boat after seeing you guys having a great time!

  • Hey, I just bought an 87 Hunter 23. I notice a few things on your boat that are different than mine. One thing that really stands out, is it looks like you have a pulley on your backstay port side. What's the story on that?

  • @Paladin27 Yes, I have same thing on 1986 Hunter 23. I think that pulley on backstay port side. That what you was talk about. Tight the pulley down after the mast stand up. I guess.

  • @Paladin27

The block on the port side is the backstay adjustment. In heavy winds, you increase the tension on the backstay, which bends the mast, and opens up the leech of the mainsail which reduces power. the Hunter 23 has a fractional rig with swept back spreaders, so additional backstay tension is really effective at depowering the rig

  • Wow, great sailboat with a handsome skipper

Did bought a 1986 Hunter 23 today from Oregon State I live in WA state. I knew it was very hard to find kind of sailboat like Hunter 23. I knew there is very few of them on West Coast area.

  • Hunter 23 Sailboat look like fun boat. When I saw the boat almost tip over and i knew it has wing keel. It went faster on water. I like that kind of boat.
