I was watching the Vancouver Olympics opening ceremony and I learned that Canadians pronounce the letter "Z", zed or zet! Is that true? Is America the only country that pronounces the letter "Z" zee?

@ezboy777 America is indeed the only one who still persists with the regional variation of Z. Other variations included Izzard, Ozzard, Zard, Zayd and a few others (these were stamped out in the 18th and 19th century). Zed is the correct pronunciation of the letter.

Hi there, Battle has an short 'a' sound like in 'at' and bottle a long 'o' like in 'long'. Does this help?
