Hi XDM50 i just wanted to sya something first of all great video also those little drinking straws can be used as packets for nesporin asprin etc etc all you do is tape one end shut and put contents in other end then tape the end you put said contents in shut.

the safety pins also make pretty good last resort fishing hooks, and the toothpicks are also great for making triggers on deadfalls, i also like to take brass guitar strings because they make good snare wire, as they already have a little loop for tightening.

Dont get me wrong its really good and I used to have one like it but I found it personally to get to stuff that you needed thats down deep. So i put fire starters in a jar, sewing in a little container, fishing kit altoget in another jar so its easy to get to. I just uploaded a vid on it so you know what I mean.

Nice little kit. A few things in there that I would not have but to each his own. I would suggest that you add some plastic trash bags (if they wont fit inside you can strap them to the outside of the tin) and change out the candles to the "trick" candles that start back up on there own after you blow them out, they are extremely handy if you need to start a fire in windy conditions. Good job overall

I've spent countless hours in the wild and built thousands of fires. The lighter is right on for the reasons you mentioned. Magnesium firestarters are rustic and, frankly, cool, but a lighter actually makes fire, not just a spark. When the fuel is gone, you still have a small, ergonomic flint and steel which can be sparked with one hand. The straw, credit card thing, toothpicks, P38 can go. I have yet to run across a bush that fruits canned berries. And do not stoke your fire with plastic.

u should get a 3 inch ferrocium rod it makes a 3000 degree spark and will work soaking wet and what are you going to carry water in try a womans breast milk baggie there very durable and dont take up much space

Instead of the "bulky" whistle you could use an improvised one out of aluminum from a soda can!

it is just about 1 millimeter at is`s thick end when it`s flattened out and hella loud!

i only use this whistles since i watched his video...

you can completely fit it to your needs ´because, well you make it yourself ;)
