Arm wrestling is FIRST and foremost about technique, timing, leverage and positioning. That guy used superior technique to prevail over joey who was relying only on the brute strength of his arm. Arm wrestling is FIRST and foremost about technique, timing, leverage and positioning. That guy used superior technique to prevail over joey who was relying only on the brute strength of his arm. Joey had his arm isolated and was extended too far at the shoulder whereas his opponent kept his shoulder tucked, and used full body weight. Arm vs. body: BODY WINS.

I've arm wrestled for years and if you think arm wrestling has to do with muscles or size then you don't know anything about the sport. It's all about technique and experience. You see the way the guy hunches all the way over to his shoulder and uses his full weight and torso? That is an experienced arm wrestler. Just because joey is buff doesn't mean he'll win. His form and technique is all wrong. You can't ever win a match using only your arm. "Arm" wrestling is a very misleading title.
