  • This is just sic. They OBVIOUSLY only did that to prove a point. That is why some was left hanging and the rest was just left on the ground. I can't wait for these bastards to get what's coming to them.

  • the idea was good , but not what they made of it. Hysteric parents, ignarant policemen, noise , crowd... the kids are crying, because they dont understand what's going on. They might never ever have seen their parents behave this way either. First of all kids have the right to live a happily childhood ! Without having to worry, without screaming and with watching the disneychannel! By the way i completly support OWS - please continue all the good work you do - but keep the kids out!

  • LOLOL " occupy my pole"

  • These children are developing a sense of empowerment, developing a sense of leadership Other children across the world have to endure watching people get massacred before their eyes, and you are whining about these kids getting 'brainwashed' and labeling it "abuse" If anything it is making children braver, and more self-aware. It is giving them a voice, something that some of you fear, so it seems

  • brainwashed through school, they are brainwashed through television, they are brainwashed through religion, there are many outlets through which they are brainwashed But I would much rather see children tackling down the issues we do not want them to endure later on, NOW

This is their fight just as much as it is ours I prefer my children learning their constitution than being brainwashed by the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

  • @groobirubi then shut the damn tv and computer off for them, and encourage them to read or use your time with your kids, but make them make thir own desicions, my 3 boy's was never forced to just plainly accept my belives as a communist, I knew they would find their own way in life, regardless and they have, rabiat opinions are for morons

  • because they have realized the officials in office do not Represent 'the people', they represent Profit, and profit is all they care about If you turned off your television and began to think for yourselves without propaganda intervention, you would realize this 3) The fact that these children are learning about their constitution and learning their rights, and learning about the society they live in I guess is disturbing to some of you, but I would like to remind you, that your children are

  • preserve their 1st Amendment right 2) The occupy movement does not endorse any political candidate neither is it a political campaign One who really wishes to be educated on what this movement is about will know that we hold both democrat & republican officials accountable for treason invoked on the American people and for violating their oath to protect the United States Constitution Most people that have entered the movement, are usually democrats, and are now neither republican nor democrat

  • @groobirubi "2) The occupy movement does not endorse any political candidate "

Which is one of a number of reasons why it's net political effect will be zero.

  • :O wow i cant believe those cops....

    children made those!!

  • Some of these comments are completely ridiculous! Children understand much more than you give them credit for and while I do not necessarily agree with this I do believe it was absolutely necessary.

  • People who try to hide reality from their kids are a problem. Good on these people for getting children involved because it affects them. We had a nation wide protest against the government here in New Zealand in 2004 and there were hundreds of children involved. They were not used, they were involved. If you don't object to how your country is being run, you will forever be enslaved by your so called protectors. Great stuff!!!

  • Are all police officers cunts, or just 99% of them?

  • Very educational. I'm going to show this to my eight year old, so he can get a good idea of who he will eventually be supporting with his taxes, and why they will be angry at him for succeeding.

  • Shame Shame! Hahaha. I am the only cold-hearted person who finds this hilarious?

  • fuck Bloomberg

    NY PIGS

  • A *good* cop would have methodically put them all in the wastebasket and then given the children citations for littering.

  • Yeah, I dunno. Is it about fairness and bullying at its most basic level? I think it's as tied into the American political mythos as any other movement is. That's the only reason I feel uncomfortable about children shouting those slogans; American politics is a dark and twisted thing. There's a lot of message bound up in those words that children don't fully understand. I'm not saying lie to them, but getting them involved so early would be a tough thing for me to get behind.

  • I'm sure they were instructed to take the hearts off the fence for some bureaucratic reason. I don't think it was just a mean effort to quash anyone's message. Also, I'm not comfortable with young children chanting, "We are the 99%!" Is addressing income inequality really the top priority of 8 year olds? I always liked reading and drawing things when I was that age. I feel the same way about the Tea Party when get their kids involved. Kids don't have enough agency to deliver political messages.

  • @djmuaddib It was much easier to explain issues such as fairness and bullying (which is what the movement is about at a basic level), than it was to explain why there were 5,000 people dressed like Santa Clause and acting "silly". The only answer I have for that one is that childhood never ends.

  • What bastards!!!!

  • Instead of chanting, someone should of confronted the officers in a reasonable voice to get a response. Reasonable voice will be more of a pressure for him to respond before a camera where there is more ground of communication, rather than just chanting. (Which is one way)

  • @RemoteSwitch Actually, what fits the Nazis well are people who decide that all counterarguments to their opinion are only "proving their ignorance". Being so absolutely sure of your opinion is what makes a person dangerous. You are one who is ripe to become a government tool, much like the nazis. What you should be reading is 1984; your behavior is just like the populace of that book.

What I find amusing is that you probably consider yourself a patriot, when you are the opposite of a patriot.

  • @FleebagSlayer What a scary anonymous threat!!! My word, what a big brave "patriot" you are. Too bad that you are patriotic like a Nazi with your implied violence and blind obedience to power. Now be a good little obedient puppy, and let the adults talk about standing up for their rights like real patriots.

  • @docweasel You clearly never went to OWS. Fairly sure there are rapists among the Teabaggers, because it is a society wide problem.

  • @docweasel Yes, they are hippies who want to beg for the trickledown scraps of corporate america. The vast majority of OWS are furious at the corporate embrace of the Obama administration. Libertarians are tools of the very rich, who would take away the largest employer of the middle class (the government), and the only real defense against the Robocop hell you seem dead set on.

  • @RemoteSwitch I am going to guess that in your limited worldview, the freedom of assembly is only extended to causes you support

  • @RemoteSwitch Sometimes the sun will shine on a dog's ass, I made an assumption when you said progressive democrat. I will not talk about what happens when a person assumes because I do not want to excite you. Ms. Sanger's racial views are clearly more in line with right wing ideology. Furthermore, we are getting away from the fact that it was YOU who suggested forced sterilization. Also your phrase "Stop thinking about my dick, BOY!" tells me everthing I need to know about you

  • I fail to see how this video allegedly exploits children. Every parents exposes their children to their personal ideas and mantras, is this not the same thing? These parents were basically giving them a civics lesson, that turned sour when the police decided to act. The parents explained that not all police officers bad. I don't see how that's a bad thing. Also, are you really going to take issue with this because of a "mess"? I wonder if you're this passionate about messes in real life.

  • @sporatica1 I never said that *anyone* was trying to get their kids to distrust police or see law enforcement as bullying. I just said that conservatives *use* children to, for thir own agenda. Everyone uses "for the children's sake" in pretty much every argument or issue known to man. Conservitaves use them when it comes to pushing religious elements or pushing a war agenda. They say "we need to protect the children" or "our children deserve X" there too. It's not a one way street...

  • @giddymoon Except for the fact that the main news source in this country (FOX news) has been proven to make people less informed than people who don't even watch news. Who's brainwashed now?

  • @klassylady25 Christmas break retard.

  • @Aeschylus they looked like they were having fun, and looked pretty devastated when their hearts against bullying got torn down by the cops who are supposed to protect them against bullying.

  • Whatever the hell these kids are doing, it's still a better education than they'll get in our public school system!

  • @giddymoon Sorry, YOU are the one who has been brainwashed. And what exactly makes you think that these people are "communists?" Most of the people I know who've been to Occupy are average WORKING Americans.

  • The NYPD is FULL of asshole cops. Anybody who's ever been pulled over here for even a minor infraction can tell you that. This is just typical cop behavior here.

  • asshole cop is asshole. fu this is upsetting.

  • The police littered. bad police.

  • some people... how do cops get so proud of being so ignorant?

  • And if the US military was really about defending the rights of Americans, it would lay siege to both the NYPD and Wall Street.

  • If the NYPD put one tenth as much effort into busting economic fraud and treason on Wall Street as they put into crushing the first amendment, the US wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.

    Freedom of speech is dead.

  • @sporatica1 set their children up? Nice wording. Governments around the world should use that. Hey Syrians, stops setting yourselves up to distrust the police shooting and hurting you. Good sheep.

  • @simoniniraq yeah, they should be shining shoes for pennies of scouring garbage cans for food. That after all is there future if no one stops this ridiculous tyrannical practices.

We all need to work together to stop this greed because we are all to blame as well.

  • @sporatica1 How could a member of those groups ever see the truth? They're too busy drinking the Kool-Aid and getting fitted for brown shirts.

  • @docweasel Oh, I guess I shouldn't care about how our police treat peaceful protesters until they become violent and start carrying guns. You're right about one thing. Rights are being taken for granted, we aren't exercising ours enough. I for one can't wait to see you and others like you eat the smug words of hate and oppression that you spew because you're not in the line of fire at the moment. Heed my words, you'll be right here with us someday.

  • @docweasel It's the bigger man that takes the high road. Did you see the video? Those cops have anger in their faces as they ripped down those hearts. It's not as if it was their jobs to clean up the mess. I'm pretty sure that there's a coupla' Janitors out of work because of their indiscretion. (BTW, the use of occupooper makes you sound like a 5th Grader,...or a DittoHead.

  • @Chumppi "Hostile situation"? Absolutely not. The two cops were on duty in the structure 20 ft behind the fence, could easily have remained inside, watched and listened, talked to the demonstrators as often occurs. It's NYC, and as most here know, the average cop on duty is usually amiable with citizens, not antagonistic, New yorkers throuigh and through.

  • @beckashine it's something about sesame street, arts and crafts, feeling good about your math answer whether it's correct or not, and lots and lots of koolaid.

  • @lolbutter9 Try St Patrick's Cathedral on Sunday, say, 11:00 Mass, watch the tykes line up with their parents to "receive communion"...ask if they "agree" with the ritual their parents have inculcated them with...Who's your inteelligent conservative catholic Newt Ginrich or Rudy Guiliani?

  • @kvnkeating This starts as a much better point than insulting me, but I see you resort to stereotypes that all people who disagree with you are crazy religious conservatives, and insults based on absolutely nothing. I'm not catholic, and for the most part, disagree with much of the large religious groups for various reasons. Just because someone has a different opinion doesn't mean you should lump them into a group and insult them.

  • @docweasel You're worried about punctuation? ...also, you misquoted me. "Upon" The real issue here is that our basic rights are being taken away. Yours and mine. Freedom of speech is very important. I respect your right to it, but I don't have to agree with you...I'm also not going to RIP down your post in front of your children. I would hope that you would provide me the same treatment.

  • @racer280465 Winning the national debate. Pay attention, ask again next July 4th.

  • @ronaldaromero The group went to City Hall to demonstrate and articulate ideas and language about the many NYPD abuses of OWS folks in the recent past, not "to make the police look bad", "prove that police are bullies", the NYPD accomplishes that often and dramatically before the entire world, but to display legitimate concerns and remind the public that there are many alarmed citizens of all ages that are going to signify their outrage, call for change, investigations, justice.

  • @MrPrincetrumpet How did the kids learn a "confused lesson about our society"? What's so confusing about seeing injustice done to fellow human beings and being taught to do something about it? Just because they want to raise kids that are aware and not trapped in a little bubble like you seem to be, doesn't make them bad parents.

  • @MrPrincetrumpet Yeah, they should all just shut their mouths, be quiet, put on the brown shirts, and drink the Kool-Aid like you've been doing your whole life. I'm sure that things will just work themselves out and that the super rich in this country will grow hearts just like the grinch did and we'll all stand in a circle singing X-mas songs together by the grace of god.

  • @docweasel You wait until they come after you and your kids. If these people don't make a difference now then there may come a day when you or yours finally get the trickle down effect in full force. It's just a matter of time until your 57% get's eaten up and walked upon like the rest of us. BTW check your facts and stop watching Fox News....or is it Rush Limbaugh that you've been getting your info from?

  • hahahah. @ 3:11 "Occupy MY pole!"

Some people just can't help them selves...

  • @johnas1011 And you are the richest? Nope. You just worship authority.

  • @docweasel Authority Worshipper.

  • I'm not sure whether to like or dislike this video...not sure what either stands for in this case lol

  • Children should be lied to about the horrors they live in today! Children are weak, stupid and should never practice peaceful forms of protest! When I have children I will make sure they are completely ignorant of issues happening around them. I want my children to become obvious adults that will one day have truth slap them across the face and wonder why no one ever told them /sarcasm

  • @Teonnyn Yes, the children were abused by arts and crafts and a parade.

  • @RemoteSwitch Ok, now planned parenthood is the same as forced sterilization. Google, China and forced sterilization, and learn that what you are suggesting was a Communist China program. Furthermore, the dictatorship of China would approve of your distaste for the Bill of Rights. Finally, how hard did you get when you called me boy, did it reinforce your fragile manhood, or are you as unhappy and inadequate as ever?

  • i love the cop's face during this whole thing. You can tell he hates being put in this position, and he totally resents both his bosses and the people yelling at him.

  • I am so proud of my home town New York City. Our economy is better, job creation is happening at a faster rate because of the policies of Governor Cuomo, and parents really are involved in the civic education of kids. We are a friendly town, a progressive town and now these parents and kids are making me so proud, because they are learning the importance to stand up for justice. This video gives me hope. I feel bad for kids that grow up in little towns, going to mega churches.

  • There didn't seem to be a whole lot of people protesting - but the police response was so crappy. You could see the one officer who was so pissed off when he ripped this up. I pity the poor guy. These folks are trying to stand up for the disenfranchised which is at the core of the Occupy movement. This argument is getting displaced into a cops/protesters thing when really it should be a rich/everyone else thing. I hope the NYPD thinks long about the role it plays in suppressing free speech.

  • Police not secure people...they protect the capitalists!

  • @bernverdnardo1 I sincerely hope you do not now or ever pro-create. There is enough hate in this world.

  • @blogegog Really? Like "upstanding Rebublicans" DON'T use children to get their own messages across? Or use the image of children to install fear and need for "saving and protecting" when it comes to their OWN agenda.

Besides, what children think matters too... not all children are "controlled" or "forced" by their parents to think what they think. Children are a respectable minority and their voices need to be heard as well.

  • @blogegog They're protesters, not hippies. Go read a book.

  • @DogwoodRicky049 Forced Sterilization? Funny how right wing apologists seem so enthusiastic about tactics employed by 1960's era Chinese Government. If only you could switch you rabid support for the state to the Bill Of Rights....

  • What if instead of zealously ripping down the hearts, the police officers walked up and started calmly asking us to take them down? What if one of them addressed the children directly and said "I don't like bullies either, but it's against the law to put things on this fence, so can you help me take them down?" The NYPD would've completely undermined the point we were trying to make, but by their actions, they chose to validate it.

  • @bzdug This. A million times THIS.

  • @bzdug No, they made their point: We police are your enemies. We will destroy your art, your expression. We exist to terrorize you and keep you in line, like good little slaves. We have hearts of stone and enjoy the suffering of others.

  • @GuitarHall Wow, you are so far gone. Freak.

  • @medbob1 Because there are just SO MANY jobs to choose from right now.

  • @medbob1 You are highly uneducated with current events. Get outside of you fake propagated bubble. These kids, just like almost every other public school child are ALSO the victims of defunding to pay for the rich

  • @gekkobear2 Like I said, I can imagine being angry at the parents, but you have to have a pretty big bureaucratic stick up your butt to see kids putting up hearts as vandalism. It's not even like it took any government money to take them down - they were stuck up with tape. All it took was two bored dudes, their hands and a couple minutes to get rid of them. They also could have easily waited til the end of the day when no one was watching to avoid tears and a huge public relations scandal.

  • @elilla331 That you would refer to this as child abuse, pretty much sums you up

  • @johnmurdockonline

Obviously you have no idea what you're talking about, like most people these days. I'll bet you'd stick a child in front of a train to make a point too.

  • @medbob1 What a stupid asshole you are. Redneck shithead, go hang out at Lowes or something.

  • You took an oath to protect and serve, not to harass and douche. Just because you have a badge does not mean you can treat people any way you like. As a law enforcement officer you have an obligation to be MORE ethically upstanding than the average man, not less.

  • "There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!" - Mario Savio @ UCBerkeley 1964

  • @gekkobear2 lol gekkobear2 is that loser we all hear about that sits in front of his computer and comments on everyone's post to make himself feel better because he is a loser in real life lol you humor me gekko you humor me with your witty comments. i thumbs up all your comments.

  • @gekkobear2 shut your filthy mouth you sheep !

  • So... they tear down the hearts and throw them all over the pavement? What a bunch of TOOLS.

  • @gekkobear2 This particular project wasnt about solving problems but creating a symbol to rally around. They're trying to solve problems by appealing to people who can make a difference. They (the protesters) are the people that elect our representatives into power and are the ones who are pissed off. Its how democracy works dude.

  • The kids just made me cry. This is on a whole other level!

  • @gekkobear2 Corporatism does all the things you mention, not free market capitalism. Occupy wants to end that private money making scam called the Federal Reserve, just like all free market capitalists should.

  • Bloomberg is literally a Saturday morning cartoon villain.

    We've reached peak parody here.

  • @bernverdnardo1 then i guess we all dont have anything to worry about... thanks for the update. i will continue to work pay taxes and pray that our economy gets back in order... thank you for taking that stress away. have a nice day.

  • @bernverdnardo1 there is no way i am going to be bunched up with anyone. Like i said before i am not for or against, but the truth all these actions are giving this situation gasoline where water should be applied. its the idiots on both sides of the streets that are going to bring us to the brink of disaster. people like me are trying to defuse this by pointing out the mistakes and the possible outcomes. Good luck with being left alone. they dont seem to be leaving

  • sorry, should have said megaphones (they're generally considered disturbing of the peace, thus a cop can arrest you out of hand for it, and no protestor worth their salt has interest in giving the police justifiable reasons to arrest them beyond pure civil disobedience)

  • @bernverdnardo1 I'm an neither blind nor lying thank you. It's not capitalism they want rid of but corporatism. A lot of people confuse the two. I used to, then it was suggested I read some Ayn Rand. Quite an eye opener. Anarchism in it's true form is not communism, it is simply the lack of a formal organised government in the sense that we would know it.

  • id like to know who invented this stupid sounded "i say and you repeat" type of speeches...it just makes people sound foolish...like they have to have someone dictate to them...or they couldnt all say it at once read off a paper....idk , just makes a movement looks a lot less put together and serious

  • wow, they couldn't get some of the custodians to just clean it up? im not for or against, but the police didn't handle this one correctly at all. i honestly believe they are pushing the american people to start revolting, so they can react with force. either that or they are just stuck on stupid.

  • @vertebrae8

I'm glad the non Occupiers have a philosophy of destroying the hearts of children. Kind of sets a clear divide.

  • @TheMadcapSyd The paper hearts aren't real hearts... the symbol is not the thing, you know that; right?

When I smash a globe the world doesn't actually break either.

If you haven't learned this yet I'm curious what else you're unclear about.

  • @gekkobear2 lol gekkobear2 is that loser we all hear about that sits in front of his computer and comments on everyone's post to make himself feel better because he is a loser in real life lol you humor me gekko you humor me with your witty comments. i thumbs up all your comments.

  • Occupy My Pole O_o LOL

  • legalized gang paid for by the poor general public to only protect the rich and the powerful, you get outta line you get pepper sprayed, tear gas will be used, and you will be tazed, and humiliated.

  • @metrikal1 did they ask the cops to rip the hearts down angrily?

  • @SierraLimaWhiskey2 do you even know why we are in Afghanistan?

  • that one cop looks like he is a miserable asshole !

  • @bbroyhill shut up sheep !

  • Someone in NYC is very, very terrible at PR.

  • Solidarity ! ! YOU are the Future ... they are the ugliest, shameful Past !

LOVE - RESPECT from Colorado !

  • @ronaldaromero "Different venue"? City Hall is the seat of governmant here, should they have gone to East 79th St. to his mansion or Bermuda to his estate there? How about the UN to the Human Rights Commission, oh, you weren't aware that has already been done?

  • fuck cops , they work for the enemy

  • @brothermoon Watch your "supporting cause of mandatory sterilization" langauge, brotherman. Nazi emulation ejaculations can be damaging to credibility in civilized circles, you may be asked to return to your cave.

  • @kvnkeating not suprisingly, you didn't comprehend the point i was making. critical thinking is not in the toolkit of these people, and thus their irresponsible actions culminating in theatrical sensationalism and hype while forcing such practices on their children as parents, and subjecting them to whatever consequences they incite will be used as fodder for those that would argue for mandatory sterilization.

only a fool would think i was supporting mandatory sterilization.

  • @brothermoon Obviously you don't comprehemd the point you were making, others do. You actually attempted to "use as fodder" your repulsive "mandatory sterilization" reference to "those that would argue"..solipsistic doggeral, a long distance from the "critical thinking" you think you understand and demonstrate it's absolute contradiction, nullification with this infantile crap. Now, back to your cave.

  • I was once inspired by cops and I truly wanted to serve the public but this day, seeing what has been happening, I can't do that no more, I will be forced upon to server the corrupt.

  • What a jackass. Does he really not get that this prove their point, so laughably symbolic by tearing up paper hearts made by children? I mean really, that's just petty and stupid no matter what you think about OWS. Maybe he should volunteer on career day at the local preschool... oh wait— he needs to stand around and get his mace ready in case the children attack him. Obvious coward is obvious. *facepalm*

  • God Bless you all.. I am so touched... the policeman's behavior was unjustifiable. The children did not need to see that. SHAME! I am proud, I admire and support all of you at OWS NYC and around the world!

  • They did to those hearts of children what they also do to hearts of the constitution.

  • They didnt even clean it up-- they tor it down and left a mess. It looked a lot better b4 they had to fuck wit it. Asshole pigs-- fuck em

  • NYPD you sorry sacks of shit. How could you just pull the hearts down down.

  • @SierraLimaWhiskey2 And between Iraq and Afghanistan we've killed one and a half million civilians. It's no wonder most of those people hate us. We support corrupt governments in both countries. The US spends 53% of its entire federal budget on the military. That's more than all the other nations combined. It's just nuts.

  • @SierraLimaWhiskey2 It's far too late to get any justice through the political system. It's been corrupted at every level and is owned by the monied fat cats. OWS is having an effect. Those in power are getting scared. The only real option we have is to throw our bodies in front of the machine and clog up the gears.

  • @jogeryjogo Chairman Mao and Adolf Hitler would be proud of people like you using terms like "anti-American" to criticize those you don't like, hiding behind nationalism, and allowing your government to destroy the rights of the people while you are busy mindlessly supporting its actions with no criticism. I love that people like you think of yourselves as patriots; you are the opposite of patriots. Patriots defend liberty against government.

  • I agree that people shouldn't involve their kids in protests. The kids aren't old enough to understand what is going on. But to focus on this so much that you ignore the NYPD's behavior is irresponsible. The actions of the NYPD here are completely reprehensible and uncalled for.

  • @jogeryjogo as opposed to the American capitalist companies exploiting children in sweatshops across the planet. yeah right so you can buy your name brand clothes and pretend you are important. As opposed to American companies exploiting illegal immigrants for less than minimum wage .What about the 14 years the the American Government is training up to supposedly gun down terrorist,That's not exploiting children is it???? look up Scouts Train to Fight Terrorists, and More

  • @bl8ant Indeed, just my point, sending children to church is much worse than them attending a protest.

  • @jogeryjogo Anti-american attitudes ?, you are giving these people too much credit, given that you believe that they have the same power of influence over the populace than the main stream media have. Warfare is inevitable when inequality becomes unacceptable. The disgusting display of greed and elitism commonly accepted by the American public for some decades now was a sign decadence, poor education, that propaganda was really something Hitler would have been proud, make no mistake.

  • The cop didn't seem to be happy about it.

He may have been giving a choice along the lines of "Take them down because we said so or do not bother coming back."

Just saying, you don't know his side.

  • Do not leave offeringa for fallen officers. It is littering.

  • i hope these cops got kids

  • "occupy my pole"

  • Amazing. NYPD has no sense of public relations AT ALL.

  • @420TrackFast Exploiting children you say? Do you mean exploiting children very much in the same manner as Sarah Palin when she toted Trig around on the campaign trail like a loaf of bread?

Weaksauce... You can do better than that.

  • I get that the police officers might have been a bit pissed that the parents were using the kids to further their cause, but what harm was there exactly in leaving up those hearts? I'd say those kids learned a permanent lesson about fairness and justice that day - that there isn't any.

  • So they tore them down and littered??

  • There was a time directly after 9/11 when the NYPD were hailed as heros and earned a huge cache of good will from New Yorkers and many others in the world. In the last few weeks the NYPD has burned what remains of that.

    Where is the over-sight?

I think the parents should be acclaimed for trying to instill civic responsibility and involvement in their children. They should be commended. Its terrible that the NYPD decided to teach a different lesson. Shame on them.

    GOVERNMENT+CRIMINALS = DIRTY CAPITALIST SCUM

HARD WORKING PEACE LOVING HAPPY HONEST SOCIETY were always the slave victim and poorly starve to death. :(

  • Man, these PIGS are absolute monsters! The fucking NYPD Gestapo right here!

  • I agree that not all cops are bad, but the NYPD isn't doing much to uphold this sentiment. This is disgusting.

  • This is just sad...what did the police gain from removing the hearts? Never mind while the kids were there!

  • OK just a pet peeve here but isn't it "the people united will never be divided" not "the people divided will never be defeated" because united and divided rhyme...while united and defeated do not. Just sayin'

  • The children at this OCCUPY action are getting a lesson in demonstrating at government or civic offices with their police departments on hand to arrest or attack the demonstrators and destroy or confiscate materials left at such sites. The parents can also teach their children the role of elections to remove officials that allow these tactics. Mayor Bloomberg and the NYPD Police Chief and brass are not lifelong elected offices. Corporatism allows for the extreme of policing for the rich.

  • @MyPaulJay The only IDIOTS are YOU and people LIKE you. No conscience, no morals, no ethics, no sense of social responsibility. YOU and THEM are a DISGRACE to humanity and our communities.

  • @MyPaulJay Change is all happening be it very slowly but WHAT movement ever happened over night?

  • @MyPaulJay ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!!! PEOPLE LIKE YOU FUCKING DISGUST ME THOSE CHILDREN MADE THOSE HEARTS TO TRY TO CHANGE THERE FUTURE FOR THE BETTER!

  • @AnonymousGreen1 So I can change the world with arts & crafts?

Awesome, I'm so making a Papier-mâché sculpture to get the illegal immigrants to start following the law and stop violating our borders.

I thought I'd have to do something useful or get laws and stuff. Heck I might even make a popsicle-stick building to convince North Korea to be a democratic nation.

Then I'll solve our budget crisis with some finger painting.

I thought those would be harder to accomplish.

  • @gekkobear2 "stop violating our borders"...this is a weird, sexual picture these words paint. As if the country was a kind of helpless woman and immigrants somehow rape it. I think without people doing the jobs no one wants to do or no one wants to pay (look for your real enemy here!) the US would go down faster. Who knows, maybe everything has to break down first.

  • @gekkobear2 lol gekkobear2 is that loser we all hear about that sits in front of his computer and comments on everyone's post to make himself feel better because he is a loser in real life lol you humor me gekko you humor me with your witty comments. i thumbs up all your comments.

  • @MyPaulJay Lot of the King's loyalists said the same thing about pro-revolutionaries in the 1700s...

  • @NotSoOldHippy What if the kids have asked what's going on? Asked to participate?

  • @NotSoOldHippy Civil rights movement did the same things they use children as much as they use adults its a common tactic for non violent movements

  • a hard lesson was learned today kids, but a great one.

  • Couldn't the fat pig wait until the kids left???

  • @TheLoveschach Not at all, I still think the parents brought their kids out hoping to get exactly what they got..

  • @TheLoveschach Actually, they were mimicking the "COVER YOUR EYES" shout from the UC Protests with the pepper spray. A lot of this protest was mimicking other protests. There's nothing wrong with that.. But they weren't shielding their kids from the pictures of violent police

  • @TheLoveschach I promise you we're on the same side here. I just don't agree with dragging kids into it. They are there with posters SHOWING what the police are doing to protesters, yet they bring their kid to a protest? I understand they SHOULD be able to do that, but history has shown it's not a good idea.

  • Now that's what I call really good propaganda. Peaceful confrontation that brings into the open the naked brutality of the system.... those kids needed to see that because it's the truth.

  • they should have made paper SHOES to represent shame to the mayor for taking our tents and clothing on behalf or his criminally rich friends.

  • They couldnt wait until the kids left

  • @bydesign001

    1) While you try to use the term "indoctrination" to imply something evil, all parents indoctrinate their children into the context within which they raise them. If they were elite bankers, ignorant bigots, or just disconnected from the realities that surround us, by actively raising their children they are performing a de facto indoctrination.

    2) In United States v. Cruikshank (1875), the court ruled that the "equal rights of citizens" were inherent to the idea of republic.
