these transmissions suck, the AODE&470rw. my 1994 ford crown vic transmission went around 96,457 miles.i have tried everything while it started slowly acting up over time.these transmissions are just plain weak!!! there not tough like it cousin the "AOD"
its not about owning a nice car, its about owning a older car, like anything that gets old, things will fail, and malfunction, i suggest scanning the car for a bad CPU code, or checking the fluid, for the classic brown color and burnt smell, if the fluid looks good, then its something electronic possibly, maybe a loose electronic connection, and all this shitty rain we've been getting has caused a malfunction on the loose connection? its all worth a try,and good luck with it,also check fluid level
@JakeDaSnakeFilms yep it could be electronics, that's why i hate them so much, and my 4bbl carb on my '71 302w and non-CPU upgraded AOD should never let me down! :) Old school is the best school of all,
