Nice, I asume your not using far red leds? You can trigger the plant to flowing using both lighting time and lighting color, far red leds trick the plant into thinking its fall and are an extra stimulus to bloom.

if you still not sure ive ran a 400watt hps before and got about the same results and u can get a digital one on ebay for around 200$ the leds will cost about 600$ for the setup so u figure what u want to run.

well you need 2x 250 watt lights with a red660nm red630nm blue orange white lights spec this will light a 5x5ft area even though its says 500watts of light it only pulls about 300 from the wall make sure the lights are 2watt at least chip set i ran 30 plants veg only to 18 inches and bloom i had co2 and nuits also...

i use leds i use a 450watt with 3 watt leds r,r,o,w,b and ill tell u ive had no change in switching over from my 600hps i would get around 600 grams dry with the 600 1st round with the led i got 683 so money well spent and only cost like 5$ a month to run led vs the 70 a month for hps

@jrkzx12r actually led's are the shit and the reason nobody is using them is because the proper led's that we all want and need would be way way way too expensive. infact the diodes you want are like over a couple of hundred each so in turn a panel would be thousands of dollars. there are some great products being developed in china.. google and do some research b4 u knock em all together.. they will one day replace our current lighting but just not yet.. 1 to 5 years probably

The only way hps is better is canopy penetration but if you grow the right style you compensate 4this

they have 250W HPS ...and most people on rollitup seem to use 400-750... 1000w are too hot for a small personal grow...And these results are VERY Poor i have done better than this with CFLs...Just sayin

@tha07flopro i use 1200 hundred watts 2x600 mh then change to hps with cooltubes for flowering in an area 1.48 meters by 1.48 meters and 1.75 meters high. i grow scrog style and get approximately 40 to 44 ounces every 12 to 14 weeks depending on strain and size of the clones i use. thats my small personal grow. i also use led as supplemental lighting and im actually expecting more than 44.

price per usable lumin a great deal cheaper. 20-30 cents on the dollar. Maybee less. Actual light used with HPS (depending on the bulb) 12-20 percent or less.. LED attempint to focus on only the light spectrum used. (Plant needing to grow) LED up to 80 and 90 pergent used per lumen so they say. Per there specs of course. Not sure what the reality is though. Getting better I think. Been a while since I researched it so dont quote me on it.

Just a thought... Primary LED with HPS booster light, say 250 or 400 watts. What ever you feel comfortable with the electric company. I like simple but food for thought. Hope LED keeps geting better.
