Now I am confused. You said earlier you were a dancer for 2 seasons a(one with Mark and one without). Now you say you were a dancer from 1985 to the end, that would be 4 seasons. Please help, I don't understand?

Please don't use the kind of language you just used to reply in these comments. I will delete them. Whether you are or aren't an ex-Solid Gold dancer is irrelevant. If you like the posts you like them. That is fine. If you are a former Solid Gold Dancer, you will have to put up with questions from others trying to verify your identity. That just comes with the territory.

Because the producers re-used weekly countdown footage instead of shooting new musical numbers. And Janeen replaced Lezlie in season 5 and that is where most of this countdown was taken from. Lezlie, Janeen AND Eileen are all in this countdown and they NEVER worked on the show at the same time.

Seeing how much fun Dionne had in hosting this season, it makes you wonder why she left, as the show most definitely recovered from the Dees fiasco of 1984-85, and when Paramount brought Marilyn McCoo back, it was in a sucky format that wasn't true to the show. At least in the beginning, Wayland Flowers & Madame, Marty Cohen, and Jeff Altman were funny, and Arsenio just wasn't at his best before he went on to his own show.

Actually Gayle and Janeen were gone by now. This special re-used footage from season 5. So Gayle, Janeen, Lezlie AND Eileen all appear in this one episode "together". This is the only time that happened.

I dunno - I seem to recall that Andy Gibb singing "Shadow Dancing" was replayed after Andy left the show, and Marilyn introduced him as a 'special friend of "Solid Gold" - if he really was there, you would think that he would have wanted to talk with Marilyn & Rex.
