  • are you canadian?

  • You're a good teacher, man. This is my dad's favorite. I'm going to play this on my telecaster when he comes over next. Thx!

  • Excellent as usual my friend. Love the end where you say "practice!" Why are the Dutch so nice? I've never met anyone from Holland I didn't like. The girls are Really nice :-)

  • @ghostwaverider You'd be nice too if you lived in a world of legal prostitution, legal weed and excellent pancakes.

  • Goed jong!

  • Thank you ! Very good lesson :)

  • Thanks so much for the great lesson. Since you do such a great job of teaching, I was wondering if you had the tabs for Trampled Underfoot by Zeppelin. I've been trying for months and see several variations on Youtube, but they don't seem right.

  • Great lesson. I love how you're playing in the kitchen :D

  • I sincerely thank you, If I had the money I would probably buy you good recording equipment so you become a famous youtube teacher..

  • does anyone know the chords of the verse?

  • @Flames649 you probably dont need it anymore but just in case its C#m7, G#7, c#m7, C,D, E7, F#, B, E, A....F#,B,E,A

  • your timing is off. use metrone and listen to record. nice job elsewise.

  • Hey Dude, Thanks for sharing. Really straight foward and easy. Whatever you do, don't stop! Good stuff!

  • thanks dude ive learned to play layla in much diferent ways but this was the best one xD

  • @Janithecooleone Happy to have helped dude!

  • Great lesson; Bedankt for posting that. It was the first video lesson I've seen where the instructor wasn't just blazing through it, and the viewer has to keep hitting the "rewind" and "slow" (if there is one) controls to see what the instructor is doing.

    Rock on!

  • i already knew how to play Layla forever ago..i just wanted to say u look like my History teacher lol

  • That was a great lesson blitzy.

You left no stone unturned and it all had a great pace to it.

Would it be possible to follow this up with a lesson on the next part of the song which is doon in the 12th fret area? cheers

  • Cheers mate, I have done another layla lesson about the little solo bit. its lesson 6.

  • hey dude i been watchin your videos on Layla u r good man. Hey i got a question i saw your amp and i have the exactly the same one i got it yesterday what is your settings on because the sound of your guitar is awesome

  • about 15 years on and off mate.

  • Damn your good!

  • Comment removed

  • sounds quality could be better I agree but im playing it here so its easy to follow for beginners.

  • i have the same guitar

  • Dank u voor de goede les.

  • you have a very dutch accent !! haha

    good job tough!!!

  • These lessons are brill! Thanks alot, keep them coming!

  • im sooo obsessed with the intro to this song, not crazy about the verses of the song

  • if you can make a video of what chords he plays when he is singing... not the chorus, then that would be great! cus im stumped

  • Don't know if I'm gonna do another lesson on Layla. The chords for the verse are basicly C#min to G#7 back the C#min to D (short played as transition) to E. Then F#min to B to E to A, back to F#min to B to E and end on A to go back into the chorus rif. Sometimes instead of playing to chord he will do some licks based on the chord beneath but this is the basic sequence.

  • ty!! :) your good player :)

  • real nice blitzy best lesson ive seen so far great job keep em comin

  • ik dacht wel dat je nederlands wasxD ik kon het horen aan je engels en het praten:) Maar een mooie lesson:)

  • Thankyou!!! I can't thank you enough. because of you I passed my music GCSE.

  • Great to know I could help you out dude, well done! keep at it with the music!

  • thanks heaps mate great vid =)

  • Playing guitar rules so im happy doing this stuff.

  • brilliant! thanks, this is the first thing i am learning and it's starting to come together thanks to your way of teaching that simplifys the technical bits without just shouting random letters at me like c#,rock on! ;)

  • Its what put me of at the start of playing to. Theory is cool but can get in the way of having fun. When you can break things down to shapes wich repeat all over in chords and runs is easier to get down. The letters will make sence later.

  • Your teaching style is fantastic. Thank you.

  • Cheers kind sir, keeping it fun is the key.

  • hey, volgens mij kom je uit groningen!!

  • Der gait niks boom Grunn~!! :)

  • after the first part with the power chords slow it down a bit and get in a rhythm ill be honest it kind of scared me at first heh

  • awesome dude!

    thanks for thee vid :D

  • dont take this offensively, you sound like an aircraft piolet lol :)

  • Then ignore the no smoking and get ready for a rocky landing lol.
