  • Song is cheesy, the lady has a very unimpressive voice.

  • From reading comments I don't know whether I should go to Santa Fe or not.

Some people say there is nothing to do there, others say something different.

Do I need a car or there are buses that go to major tourist places?

How many days is a good number?

    Thank you.

  • @4321micro I would go to Santa Fe. I have family there and have visited. It is a beautiful city with lots to do in and around it. A lot of history and culture white, hispanic and Native American. Its a great city I love it. I would go at least once during indian market. its crowded but worth it than. However anytime is great to visit such a great city

  • Santa fe is amazing! A bit expensive, but truly beautiful and wonderful place to live.

  • who sings this song?

  • Thanks so much for posting this beautiful video ... with beautiful music ... Santa Fe is one of the most beautiful places on earth!

  • I like the Santa Fe of about Twenty Five years ago, Now its way Too TOuristy...>Too much has Changed... Its too Materialistic in so many ways!! Thats my Take on it. ARTISTICHICANA

  • I agree, that is why I split.

  • i've lived in santa fe for 18 years. and i still haven't seen all of this place. you honestly need to take a week or two off of work. save a lot of money. go to museums, go up to the ski lift or hyde park after dark. watch the sunset. santa fe is the most beautiful city i've ever lived. que viva santa fe!! mi amor

  • ever since the american occupation started, our city of holy faith has become one of the most perverted and dirtiest cities in the usa, all thanks to the american millionares who move there because its in style or whatever, the sooner nuevo mexico rids itself of american culture the better off we will be

  • @princesscr009 - as a local who grew up here from 1950 til present you should really see some of the amazing sunrises and sunsets from the caja del rio area, montoso peak, cerro rito, and other places. You can also go out on horseback or hike to some of these areas. Not far from town. If interested I can inform you further in the interest of sharing my beautiful hometown.

  • that looks nice.

  • Neat

  • Hi from Florida! I was born in Santa Fe, but moved at a young age to South Georgia. I since visit by car every two years...cause Interstate 10 will hurt ya! It takes about 3 days to travel one way by car! But don't get me wrong I love nature and I can say that I alway enjoy driving through the Mid-West. The best time to enjoy the lower states is in the Fall cause all the trees change color and you can be apart of "fiestas" and take home some powdered chili after hanging out with people ya know!

  • fun to vist there , boring if you grew up there

  • ya i live hear its cool.full of butedy

  • Santa Fe is a sick city. i would have to say that its one of the cleanest cities in the United states. there is so much culture and real people who arent fake.

  • i hate santa fe it sucked

  • thanks for sharing... and your honesty

  • @dekline15 i live there and totaly agree besides its rich art culture and its history their is nothing to dooooooo at all. I mean unless your like 50!!!!

  • We stopped by Santa Fe 2 weeks ago on our 3-day drive from Nashville, TN to Costa Mesa, CA!! It was lovely....I'm glad I got to see "Brown Town!" :)

  • Look...Why not just rename it Anglo Fe ,and get it over with.

  • Santa Fe is a dump, I live in this hell hole! If you say you love Santa Fe, you obviously have never been outside of the downtown area!

  • I loveeee this video!! I always watch it when I'm missing santa fe, I only get to go there 5 times a year and it's my favorite place in the whole entire world. my grandma has lived there since I was 3. I can identify every thing in this video! ah! I just love it :)

  • i have lived in santa fe and worked there! i found it okay, i mean i'm form los angeles, born and raised, but my mom and dad are from espanola-i love santa fe, its anglo, indian, black, whatever-but its OURS!

  • Cool

  • btw....each person has to find out for themselves about a place.Maybe,it is just how the world is now.

  • yup!

  • sorry...didn't mean to dampen your joy.Your pictures are beautiful and actually, watching the place this way is kind of wonderful.

  • Thank you very much for watching :)

  • santa fe used to be hispanic, indians mexicans artists.People had an authentic, earthy elegance ant the place had atmosphere. Now it is all angloized, dreary mean and depressing. What is worse is the phoney political correctness of all these sanctmonious whites towards other outsiders,as if they are protecting it from outside influenes.

  • Well, I'm just a white tourist who was passing through and really enjoyed what I saw and experienced. Every city has history ... everything changes, for better or worse.

  • @zootsuit

Ouch!!! Unfortunately, worse for us means genocide. But your pics are great! I both loved and hated visiting there. This was years ago...now considering a move. Funny how my opposite-end Santa Fe trail upbringing would send me to N.M. then and now interest me again. You're right, tho, we're all here together. I just wish the contrived "foreign" Hollywood feel would subside. Maybe the Recession put some sense and uprooted fake folks...hopefully. Good vid.

  • hey are you say that its a bad town?

  • Santa fe gets old fast.Pass through and leave.....If you spend any significant time there you'll puke.............

  • if you actually live here its not that bad

  • The little churches are called moradas and may be found in many of the Northern New Mexico towns. They're very important to many people. The morada you captured is indeed beautiful do remember what town it was at? Many of them are still used today to celebrate feasts and Holy Days.

  • that morada (thanks for the lesson) was in Santa Fe. I got off the main road just north of the city, barely a mile from the downtown area

  • My favorite photos were of the red chile ristras, the chile is always so so good. Also the little morada at the top of the hill and the nicho with a statue of the Blessed Mother.

  • thanks for looking and choosing favorites! the church on the hill was amazing and I found it by accident while driving around lost :)

  • What is the name of the band who sings this song ?

  • Lights of Santa Fe by Eliza Gilkyson (also posted in the "more info" section)

  • I love you Santa Fe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thats insane im leaving from denver colorado to sante fe this sunday

  • ha!! it's a great drive and a cool city, drive up to the Taos Pueblo if you get the chance - worth a look!

  • I love New Mexico and will always remember by visit there.

  • New Mexico and it's surrounding territories will always be the Apache and Navajo nations historical claim. Nobody else can say that they were the original feet to tread that land.

  • as true new mexicans we must rise up and reclaim our land and our pride, we must throw out these americans who know nothing of history, and have occupiedthis noble land for far too long.

  • ssszar - I'm hispanic and I live in Santa Fe.. I don't care who occupies it because the town sucks!!! Outsiders should come in and remodel the whole town; remove the plaza while they're at it!

  • dipset the reason the town sucks, and i do agree with you on that point is because of the outsiders who have come in and have remodeled it and would remove the plaza, if we are going to preserve our cultural identity then we must actively defend our culture, part of that would be to preserve the cultural integrity of our great cities.

  • You are correct, the town has become over run by liberal elitest who have tried to keep the cultual identity through architecture; however, their stance towards locals have pushed us out. I think there is no turning back, the majority of Santa Fe natives live 60 miles south, and only rely on Santa Fe for work. Unlike cities like NY, LA, etc. that can rely on an identy without a specific group of people, Santa Fe can't; once the culture of local citizens is gone, the draw of Santa Fe will to.

  • i have to agree with you, my home town is pecos and over the last twenty years i have seen things in the north go from bad to worse as far as the liberals go, they have have jacked up prices so high in the royal city that local nuevo mexicans cant barely afford to live there, and now it seems pecos is on the verge of becoming the new aspen. there has to be some way we can actively defend our culture which it seems is on the verge of extinction.

  • you know its sad, your right about the draw of the local citizens, the draw to santa fe was lost on me a long time ago, plus just driving two blocks seems to take an hour, you have to navigate around all the subarus with free tibet stickers on them.. for all the cries i hear from the anglo left in santa fe about green house gases, i have to say santa fe seems to have become one of the least clean cities in the state.

  • Santa Fe is awesome. It's cool because it's different. If you wanna live somewhere that's just like everywhere else, MOVE THERE! Idiot.

  • nice video and lovely song too.

  • everyone is mixed you nerd...

  • New Mexico was occupied by Mexico for a total of 12 days LOL Read some history and taste your words before you spit them out.

  • New Mexico is Spanish, Mexican, and Native American... To get hung up on dates of official Mexican control is ignorant... This land is Hispano...And always will be...

  • @gpult Hispano?? really?? This is Native Land!! The Pueblos sounding it because the Spanish pushed them out! Someone look up the PUEBLO REVOLT and learn the truth of the Spanish's horrible past against the Native Americans in this area.

  • THE SONG IN THIS VIDEO IS TOO HARDCORE!

  • Thank You for Your Time!!!!!!!!!!

    Apache-_-Sky

  • you're gay! at least those houses have their own uniqueness.

  • I love the adobe architecture of Santa Fe and the southwest. That technique of warming and cooling a home has been around thousands of years... long before the word 'gay'

  • It's mostly fake adobe. just stucco. but it looks cool

  • bet u a white boy nuh

  • This is excellent!!! You are able to "capture" a lot of Santa Fe. This is something for me to keep when I'm missing NM and want to remember. The background music totally rocks!! A++
