  • I love your website!!! I'm trying to transition and have been for... I got my last relaxer June 2011. I really need to go get my ends clipped. But anyway, glad I found your website. I'm sure it will be a big help.

  • Looks really nice & neat. :)

  • I'm over the all natural hair products are the best for healthy hair. My hair has improved from my weekly wash, hot oil and DC treatments...not from expensive hair styling products.

  • i juss used miss jessies shampoo sadly i dont have the other products like the curling thing or wat ever else i need but imma try and see how it turns out with juss the shampoo and im doin it on wet hair...hopfullii it komes out awesome just like how yours was =]

  • So this is right up my alley.

  • Luv luv! Mine never come put right so I'll try it your way next time.

  • i love the flat twis! i usually do it from top to bottom, never tried doing it half and half...thanks for the tips I will definitely try that next time!

  • Thanks for the tip. It was quick and easy and it looks nice on you.

i look forward to seeing more from you!

  • Girl! Hey Lisa, 2createawebsite! I was so shocked to see this was you! Your blogging tips have helped me tremendously.

  • @ChakaKhanian LOL! Thanks!

  • do u have to re twisted night after night

  • Love the curl definition!

  • I love how you shared how you got the twists fall down! I was like "she did flat twists with out the back of hair stickin' out all crazy!!!" Girl I have been natural for 4 years, and I am just NOW learning how to manage it !ts been 4 years lookin a hot mess! smh! so THANK YOU!!

  • @NuNatural88 lol!! Glad I could help. :)

  • The Organic Root Stimulator products give me alot of moisture as well, even though they are not all natural. The holding pudding made my hair super soft! I was surprised, as the 3rd ingredient is mineral oil. I was with shampoo weekly, so I don't worry too much about those products.

  • once again a great hairstyle!

I will try a twist out with flat twist b/c I tried

twist and braids on my hair: it came out just ok :-((

  • @AKIYIAKELLY Thank you! Appreciate the feedback. Experimentation is key. That's one cool thing about natural hair.... you can keep twisting, pinning, braiding, until you find something that works. :)

  • yes you are so right thanks for the reply :-))

  • what type do you think your hair is?

  • @KyoTheFoxDemon 4a/b. My hair is very defined when wet and when I take out my twists, but frizzes very easily. Hope that helps!

  • very nice video....looks cute!

  • i just started twisting my hair over the summer this year prior to that i stopped putting relaxers in and always wore braids and flat ironed my hair.im looking to create different styles now since i have only worn it one way which is individual twists.im so glad i stubled on this video so keep it up; im watching!

  • Ultra defined twists

  • I love it. I'm only 3 months into my transition and I'm going to try that style

  • Aw, come on chica! Basic chicks like me need an actual tutorial! lol! It's super cute!

  • As long as the products work on your hair, go for it!! Your hair looks great.

  • This is EXTRA cute!!

  • Very cute, Love it!

  • OMG, Mate Your hair is so bu-2-full. I am t-lax and I am looking for a hair style to do. I want to know is it the twist loc gel in the light purple jar you use? Thanks for postin... it turned out great

  • @song5537 Thx! Yes it's the purple and white jar.

  • nice!

  • Super cute!

  • Your twists remind me of pasta noodles - in a good way! The definition is amazing.

  • @thecreativelady Thanks, but now I'm hungry! :) LOL

  • I just bought those same clips at walgreens 2 wks ago.lol anyway ur hair as usual looks great. when do u plan on cutting off the rest of ur relaxed hair?

  • @KLT828 Cool! I'll probably trim the rest by the end of the summer. I only have a couple of inches left in the crown area. The rest is natural. So I'm getting close. :)

  • very cute! i love ORS lock and twist gel

  • Lisa, I really like that hairstyle on you. Your hair looks so nice and healthy, full; and soft. I just want to reach out a touch it. You're almost there. I also like your new intro song. Thanks for sharing.

  • @LuvitHeart Reach out and touch! LOL funny. Thanks!

  • This is really cute!! Flat twists have been a staple for me as well now that I'm natural. I like two strand twists also but they take too much time. Love the 'remixed' intro song as well!

  • @MsChanteJ72 Thank you! Yes this was my first time doing these for a full twist out and I will definitely be doing this more often. Soooooooo much faster!

  • @theinnercreative Thanks for being there on my journey. :)

  • This is so cute, but I can't flat twist to save my life every tutorial is either in fast forward mode or they are too far away from the camera I guess I just have to learn on my own........Great hairstyle

  • @kikicouture10 AfrikanHairGod, KeKe52284 and PrettyDimples01 have close-up tutorials of flat twists and AfrikanHairGod can REALLY do them well. Very tight and neat. Specifically watch PrettyDimples vid called "two strand flat twist out from July 2010" she does a close up. Also on my "Flat Twist Up Do" video done in March you see a close up of me doing it.

  • @napturallycurly Thanks so much for taking the time to refer tutorials to me......I love AfrikanHairGod I may have missed that tutorial.........Thanks I will check them out today

  • Looks great, but Transitioning? Nah, not with those full curly ends. LOL. Have u attempted any wash-n-gos since u have mostly natural hair at the point?

  • @667tazmania lol, I know. The hair that was out was already transitioned. The hair in the clip still has some process ends so that's why it doesn't look as if I'm transitioning. I am soooooo scared of a wash and go for some reason. I know they take awhile to do and I would be so disappointed if I spent all that time on my hair and it turned out bad. But that's how you learn right? I may try at some point.

  • @napturallycurly Please share if u decide 2 give it a whirl.

  • Very nice!

  • Love the do! Flat twist outs is currently my fav hairstyle since i have two different lengths in my hair. I have to second that about getting off the totally natural kick. My hair just thrives on products that have cones in it! I still use my coconut oil and shea butter daily but at the same time, my hair loves that lock n twist gel you used also.

  • Heyyy sis! This is cute ;o) Why my transitioning hair didn't look uniform like this. My ends were always "spidery" haha. The ingredient in the lock and twist that keeps me away (i believe) it's the petroleum or mineral oil. That definitely makes your hair feel SOFT! You just gotta remember to clarify when you use a product with those ingredients. U pretty much got your transitioning figured out. Looks hassle free!

  • @007newnew Oh OK thx for the tip. Will def clarify on my next wash. Now as far as uniformity, the hair that was out is already transitioned. So for the most part you're looking at all natural hair in this vid. That's why I like putting the top part up because that's where I have a few processed ends left. I'm almost there, girl! :)

  • Oooh la la! Looks good!

  • @Iamsonotmyhair Gracias!

  • GIRL im so with u on that fact that ur hair likes un natural stuff better, u gotta read the blog post i did on naybesa.com about using organic products on natural hair

  • Very nice!

  • That is so cute! I'm going to try this style on my hair.

  • very cute!
