These were the good old times , even after you score a goal you pressed Z and you would make the announcer go crazy haha , I remember playing that game against my father almost everyday! I was 4 at that time , im 16 now , good old times!

this game was fun to play. my favorite hockey game for a year or two. And Im pretty sure this game had fun fights... I wonder if it is a coincedence that my 2 favorite hockey games of all time , (NHL 95 for sega, and this NHL99 for 64) both had The rangers as good teams ,because they came off of good seasons the previous year. But I always loved the gameplay.

I played more of this than any other NHL. I'm not saying it's the best... but it meant more to me in 98 than NHL 11 means to me today. The more modern versions are so clinical, professional, and devoid of anything remotely fun.

This was one of my favorites in the NHL series, it was the first one I played with analog controls. Looks ancient by today's standards. If NHL10 looks this bad in 10 years, NHL20 will be amazing.

Although this is one of my favourite hockey games ever, the glitches in it were evident. One glitch in particular, is in shootouts where you can score on a straight pass onto the net. Not all the time, but too often.

i spent so much time on this game it was amazing. i was like 5--7 age some of the best times i would have never thought i would have found this. the music brings back every game i ever played. i remember my all time greatest achievement on this game was scoring a legitamate goal with dominic hasek all the way down the ice on a real goalie through his legs.

I know for sure NHL 98 could, I have it in my NHL 98 video for the Saturn. Can't remember how the fights were in 99, I think they may have been just button mashing.
