this is a beautiful peice and i love that you guys did this :) i just wish there were a couple of things you would do like more dynamics being more musical and slow down at specific parts but you guys sound so amazing compared to my choir :)
We sang this song for a PMEA District Festival! It is a great song and this choir sang beautifully on pitch, but the vowel sounds are awful!!! I had no idea it was Ah- LAY - loo- yuh
"repeated no less than 41 times and no more than 163 times total" This song repeats Alleluia exactly 216 times! I have the sheet music as I am singing this in chorus! :)
thank you for putting this up! my accapella choir sang this last year and we just havent gotten our cds yet and i had nooo idea who this song was by! soo again thankyou!! this is a great recording too btw
I spent some time near the Mission and Professor Manuel Rauph here in Brazil. And every time I hear his compositions recall that I learned much more than music with him, I learned that God's work is made with extra-ordinary men in their ability, but in an odd simplicity.
I love this song, The first time that I sang it was in VA Honors Choir in 1996 My Senior Year. I love all the pices that we did that year to bad I lost all of my music moving around ...UGH...but I can't wait to find a Choir to sing this with again.
We did this song in my college choir my freshman year...that was like 5 or 6 years ago (yeah I'm old)...that song still brings me to tears...it so beautiful and so expressive.
I got it from my choir teacher...I guess all the teachers got a copy of the CD. It's common for concerts to be recorded for future reference, doncha know? ^__^
And yes...yes we did. I expected it to be more out of tune, but we actually did pretty well! :)

I miss singing this song in my choir. Though we say the same thing the whole time, I still love it. It's a great warm up song (IMO)

I remember singing this song in my first semester of college choir 15 years ago! The funny thing about it is I still remember my part as a bass

I didn't know anyone even recorded this! How did you do it?
We sound pretty good for such a huge choir.
