  • Storm is bany

  • This style of animation looks "GI JOE-like" lol

    I prefer the 90's version.

  • what the hell. I dont remember this cartoon. Its bloody awesome!

  • X-men, X-men, is so gay, is so gay

X-men, X-men, is so gay, is so gay

  • @kkingcombo12345 You're quite a clever one.

  • magneto's whores are on the way

  • Magneto's voice actor is really powerful. Gives me chills. As for Kitty... that's Phil and Li'l from Rugrats. Just a bit of trivia for you, folks.

  • Magneto's whores are on the way ;)

  • Wtf is this??!!! DiZ isn't da 90s xmen I watched as a kid!! Somebody help me out here??

  • @msjerry2008 must be 70s 0r 80s version i guess

  • IZ DA x-men from the 80s.

  • i take it by the x-men roster line up this must be after thunderbird died. but kitty was already an xman then to and looked completly different. the spiderman an his amazing friends had an episode with thunderbird in it .but i never saw him again after. i know he died in the 2nd mission of the x-men 1st issue. the xmen encountered count nefaria and thunderbird tried to bring down an escape jet by pounding it till it explodes killing him. thunderbird was the first xman to die in the line of duty.

  • This was the very 1st X-Men cartoon I saw as a child. Classic animation. It's a shame they didn't make more episodes.

  • wolverine has a brit accent lol

  • @1985joubert It`s Aussie, stupid ! Which is ironic since An Aussie Actor would portray him in The Live-Action Films using A Canadian Accent ( ya know `cause Logan`s Canadian from Alberta ) !

  • @1985joubert The WORST Part of this Cartoon IS Logan ( who`s SUPPOSED TO BE Canadian ) HAS A THICKER Aussie Accent THAN Pyro WHO`S ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO BE An Aussie !

  • @1993MovieMan The Same actor voiced both characters. Check it out on imdb. lol

  • @dusk78 Um , nope ! IMDB`s got it wrong ! Neil Ross portrayed Wolverine and Pat Fraley portrayed Pyro !

  • @1993MovieMan Ah. Then IMDB should fix it.

  • Oh my gosh we have tapes of these i had no idea they were that old(well somewhere in the attic^^) cool any way awesome job!XD

  • it sucks that they didn´t have jean gray in this serie when you think of it she came before Cyclops.

  • No place to hide... no place to run (no place to run)

    Mutants' aid... has now begun!

X-Men (X-Men) saves the day (saves the day)

    X-Men (X-Men) coming your way!

Magneto's hoardes are on their way to pillage, burn and plunder.

But there's one team that will not yield, the team that strikes like thunder!

X-Men (X-Men) saves the day (saves the day)

    X-Men (X-Men) coming your way!

  • @Marxak666 The second line is "The Mutant age has now begun!"

  • @dusk78 oh thanks :) could´t clearly hear it so... got to take my chances ^^

  • thats not wolverine that sounds like i dont even know what it sounds like but certainly not like wolverine

  • STORM IS HOOOOOOOOOOOT IN THIS ONE!

  • Thanks for posting this! I have been looking for years for this. My friends didnt believe me when I said there was an X-Men cartoon before the classic one that we all know. Now everyone wont think that I am crazy! They made the classic 8 player video game based off this.

  • Thanks for posting this! I have been looking for years for this. My friends didnt believe me when I said there was an X-Men cartoon before the classic one that we all know. Now everyone wont think that I am crazy!

  • LMAO @ Wolverines voice. It seemed like they just picked a random guy on the street to be his voice

  • Storm: "Wolverine don't your remember what it was like when you first found out you were a mutant"

kind of a bitchy thing to say since he has no memory of that.

  • Apparently the reason Wolverine has a Australian accent is cause whoever was in charge of casting voice actors was confused because Wolverine calls Toad a "dingo" which even makes no sense since Pyro is the Australian one. The animation is by far the best though in this.

  • How does Emma Frost fly? lol

  • @StevenJKpower It's lame but it could be telekinesis like Jean Grey. I mean they got making Psi-spears. lol. Something I don't think she can do in the comics.

  • @dusk78

Haha. Funny. I also lol'd when magneto referred to his group as the "brotherhood of evil mutant terrorists", only because he's the first "terrorist" to dub themselves as a "terrorist". haha

  • Why would Magneto call his group the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants? He obviously doesn't think they're evil if they're liberating mutant-kind from the oppressive humans.

  • @miyamotousagisan I always thought the same thing, & Juggernaut isn't even a mutant. He must get pay cheques.

  • the drawings look the best in this series of x-men.

  • X Men movies producer shud have watched this before making em, so they cud have an idea of what X Men really is!

  • where is Jean Grey?

  • @Mrhappypants538 she died during the dark phoenix saga.

  • wolverines voice is horrible

  • i don't like there voices they sounds to young or 2 old for there image, style and age but brings back memories

  • this sucks so much balls that it's too gay to be called gay

  • Kind of wish that Emma's second mutation had been the laser bolts she could create here instead of the stupid diamond skin thing. How the fuck did that dumb gimmick get into two movies now?

  • The art is very good but the voices suck

  • never even knew this existed..thanks IGN lol

  • WOLVERINE IS AN AUSSIE!! Listen to his voice! Hahahahahah so awesome!

Thats ok ol yankie doodle Americans, you still have "The Dazzler" Hahaha lol

  • lol cant believe i not familiar with this x-men episodes... this gotta be late 80's cuz i know the x-men of the 90's only voice even sound close is Storm still got that African accent Wolverine sounds like dude from the British so there was no Jean gray at this time?

  • at 7:09 is that the autobot Headqaurter..?

  • this one is way better than the x-men show from the 90's

  • @face6iny And the new anime probably could fit your liking it is smooth.

  • 01:01 - ...no, you're Optimus Prime...

  • Was this made before or after the Konami's game?

  • Are there anymore episodes from this season?

  • I appreciate the quality, I have seen other uploads and the picture is rough. I agree with the majority of the comments I have read.

  • Sad that this never got picked up as a series. Pryde of the X-Men has top notch animation and you got to love the voices.

  • This X-Men series inspired Konami to make the 1992 X-Men Arcade game. Wolverines Australian accent is priceless. I can see why they revamped this cartoon for the 90s a few years later.

  • stan lee of marvel comics ....nice

  • where I can download for free this serial, know anybody??

  • Actually not a bad show, except for Wolverine. He's completely ridiculous.

  • Magneto's power is over nine thousaaaaand!

  • Oh man no fair.

  • Are there more episodes like this?

  • @Devildog73191 Unfortunately, no. The pilot is all that exists.

I remember watching and loving this when it originally aired only to be disappointed when another show aired in its place the following Saturday. I thought it was the start of a series.

  • Dazzler Does Yu Yu Haku Show!

  • Not too bad. But I wish White Queen's didn't sound like an old lady

  • Nice find! This is the cartoon the old arcade game was based on! Glad to hear its coming to PSN and XBL soon!

  • the song is great!

  • @cisco19 i agree this song was in my head at church.

  • it's kittys first day and theyre fighting the brotherhood. Man good thing she can phase. She did alright for her first day.

  • I hate this wolverine.

  • proffesor x has the worst power ever knows everything even the bad stuff.

  • Wait what ever happen to the dazzler.

  • kitty on this one isnt like the other kittys at all.

  • X-men has come along way.

  • @GatameOne Yeah, in the wrong direction!

  • @dethwizard wiat what are we talking about?

  • 2:00 guess that's magneto's whore

  • never seen this intro before whoa say what stan lee!!!!!!

  • Cyclops sounds like Duke from GI Joe

  • whoooooaaa i've never seen this b4

  • Impressive animation and storyline--all things considered. Definitely cleaner than the 90's version which came later, with a lot less ink wasted on hyper-muscular shading. With the exception of some of the voice casting and the theme song, this show really had potential. A good scriptwriter could have continued these character dynamics indefinitely.

  • This was the pilot episode for a series that never got made. It was also the basis for Konami's X-Men arcade game.

  • i played the arcade game but i never saw this animation s nice though

  • vad händer

  • hahaha this show didn't age well, but still I enjoyed watching this its pretty good. I can't stop laughing of how corny the lines are.

  • They used japanese animators for this cartoon, like the majority of 80's cartoons. They are more serious about art than americans are. Americans are shallow and generally dont care as long as it's "good enough". Which is a real shame, since I'm an american myself and want to see my own people animating with quality...

  • @mmmmmarcus way back in the days America was seriously about cartoon too. like Top and Jerry the loony toon and the dude Walt Disney (the dude the the company.) now today cartoon are horibly animated you watch cartoon network, Nick or even Disney channel and all you see is crap.

  • @BmCNinJa we're not to big and grammar and spelling anymore as well

  • @BmCNinJa Fudge you, butthole. Kim Possible has some of the shit-funniest-ass writing I've seen on TV.

  • @megagrey I did kinda like Kim Possible until I grew up. though I can't say the same for you you must one crappy kid.

  • @BmCNinJa I only started seeing episodes of KP a few months ago, and the funny factor is just timeless. I steered clear of the new X-Men toons but KP easily lives up to the glory days of the Disney Afternoon.

  • Animation is better than the 90s but the voices in the 90s were better, especially Wolverine and Xavier. Shame Peter, Kurt and Kitty wern't in the 90s ones though.

  • @DocRossim yea, Jubilee was cool in the 90s cartoon but I would have liked to see Kitty Pride in their.

  • i dont understand why the animation is better in this show from the 80s...why bother making new cartoons, they should re-air show from the 80s and 90s, children nowadays deserve better :)

  • @blackray44 agreed, the latest X-Men Evolution cartoon was straight garbage and insulting to the viewer, even if they are children.

  • Storm had her costume from that Arcade game

  • although i hate the aussie accent the animation and classic brown suit is way etter than wolverines animation in the animated series which followed after this pilot

  • excellent, they actually spent money on this episode-- too bad the same can't be said for the 90s animated TV show, much cheaper, inferior character designs.. THIS is how an entire X-Men series should have been done.. Marvel should have partnered with the same animation outfits that did GI Joe & the Transformers.. at least this special had Nightcrawler and Colossus as regular members..

  • @Hypestyle Really?!!! This campy mess is how an X-men cartoon should have been done? Sure the animation is done by Toei (Transformers/GI Joe) that is the only highlight. The story is to light & contains none of the social bigotry and intolerance that would be featured in the 1992 TV series. Kitty really comes off as a whiny brat and as mentioned Wolverine as an aussie? I read this was due to Wolvie calling Pyro a dingo in the script, so the director called for logan to be voiced in this manner.

  • amazing they have wolverine as australian as the actor who portrays him

  • I had this VHS tape I got from my PenPal in elementary school. Memories! :D

  • omg!!! i saw this in middle school and thought it was awesome. my earth science teacher showed it to us.lol. the konami game is based off this i believe.

  • Comment removed

  • Haha love the theme song. And the animations not bad for an eightys show.

  • it was never put on dvd

  • I wish I could get this on DVD!!! I really miss and it's fantastic!!

  • the only voicei like to hear here is storm...the others voices doesn't match there looks and personality at all.

  • Lol! So camp!

I'm almost offended by Wolverine's Aussie accent :P

  • Comment removed

  • I thought Magneto was going to do some anime porn stuff to Kitty with those wires that were behind her I bet the show would have go picked up then. I've actually watched this on TV before it was on NBC.

  • omg as a comic book nerd I could not stomick this lame morning cartoon with my meant for teens comic book. I would be pulling my fucking hair out espesially with that lame 80s music.

  • bloody australian wolverine lol, could have given him a canadian accent go figure lol

  • Holy crap on a cracker. I grew up watching this thing again and again. I still have the VHS. They probably had the best line-up for the xmen and the brotherhood. The animation is rather kick-ass as well.

  • magnetos whores are on the way ? lol i know it dosnt say that but thts wat it sounds like

  • I'm pretty sure it was actually "hordes" but it does sound a bit slurred.

  • Does the 90's show continue this series?

  • No, the 90s show was completely separate from this.

  • "I've been an X-Men fan since '82 and I've never been let down! Rock on, X-men!"

  • lol its a good thing they moved away from this pilot when they did the X-men animated series.

This is really funny though. Wolverines voice is Australian made me laugh hard and the theme was god awful.

Thanks for the upload as I never knew a pilot to the 90's animated series existed :P

  • WELCOME TO DIE!!!

  • "X-Chicken!"

  • Brotherhood of Mutant Terrorists?

    OK.....

  • Let's see Magneto is voiced by Earl boen from the Terminator movies

  • stan lee super cool

  • at least this has better quality

  • wtf emma can fly

  • Apparently she can also thrtow force bolts.

  • lol wolverine sounds like a pirate sez eye :P.

  • i don't like wolverines voice thats the only thing that i hate

  • wolverine's voice is lame

  • haha xD

    woleverines voice xD

  • Stan Lee is the narrator

  • those anyone think its funny that logan aka wolverine voice is australian in this verson and hugh jackman whos plays wolvie is australian

  • I caught that as well. lol.

  • @zombiekingj yeah that is funny and considering wolverine is a canuck.

  • @zombiekingj yeah that is funny and considering wolverine is a canuck.

Also Cyclops sounds like duke from the G.I. Joe cartoon.

  • the animation is really good for such an old show.

  • It was animated in Japan at the Toei Doga studios. They did all the Marvel/Sunbow shows; G.I. Joe, Transformers, and Spider-Man & his Amazing Friends.

  • @tornjakdaxter - Marvel studios got better with each passing year in the 80's

  • @taurusman26 would you believe that Konami designed the Arcade version feat. The six X-men 3 years later? I still cannot believe that Wolverine has an Austrailian Accent evenm though he's from Canada. That was before Hugh Jackman and Scott McNeil who are also Aussies.

  • @cksmith08 the wolvie voice actor from the 90's cartoon was also an austrailian

  • @barqueWorks Cal dodd Austrailian? I thought he was Canadian himself from what I heard and read.

  • @cksmith08 your right i was thinking of scott mcneil (who although is canadian was born in austrailia.

  • @taurusman26 I think they used the same voice in Spider-Man and his Amazing Friend during the X-Men episode.

  • @tornjakdaxter dude you took the words out of my mouth...i dont know but it seems to be this was japanese animators!!!

i could be wrong but the quality is so amazing

  • @tornjakdaxter are you kidding me? animation was always better the older it was...look at shit like that new my little pony cartoon...why the hell would that be better than anything 80s at all.

  • @Jr0ckAkuma the animation in this x-men is really good and there were a few others but you have to remember there were cartoons for each age group.

  • they drew this good it looks better than the 90s version but it sucked

  • I agree,i wish the would've keep the animators who made this.

  • yeah it would have been good

  • Everything is awesome except the voice overs. If it wasn't for the voices this show could have made it

  • Do you think the 90's series is a sequel to this one?

  • nope

  • No this was a pilot episode and it failed miserably, then marvel went back to do it over and came up with the 90's show. Big improvement, kitty should have been in the new one but Dazler sux

  • they were tying to make this a prequal to the 90's episodes but it was to suckish to work

  • Looks better to me. I mean the characters don't look so muscular as they do in the 90's show, which pissed me off about it. That's why i prefer Evolution and Wolverine.

  • At 0.16 - Magneto's whores....?

  • @wanj5 hordes.*

  • @strawswirls Yeah, it was a joke...

  • @wanj5 hoards

  • @wanj5 Hoards man Hoards clean your ears and your mind you SICKO you really want Neto's whore Toad coming to give ya some? Sheeeesh!!!

  • nice

    90s toon was better tho

  • i remember the 90's toon, it was alright ... but i mostly grew up with x-men: evolution and the movies...

i think this one wld be better if this had jean and rogue and gambit. especially the last two

  • i actually like this. Good animation, decent voice work. Other than Dazzler's mere presence, and the wierdness of Emma's and Wolverine's voices, it's pretty solid. If it had been accepted, they could have fixed Wolvie's voice down the road.

  • Dang i remember this!!! reminds me of that arcade game with 4 players...

  • Haha! Stan's into lol

  • Aha...so this is what they based the X-Men arcade game off of.

  • Why else would DAZZLER have been thrown into that game. Freakin' Dazzler, gimme a break....

Still, this toon is better than all the movie sequels.

  • Welcome to... DIE!

  • i like it ... looks interestingly inspires!!!:)

  • why does wolvierine sound like jango fett from star wars

  • This shit is great. The voices are not what we're used to today but the animation is very good, very sharp. Nothing beats hand-drawn and hand-colored cartoons.
