I had the honor and privilege of spending some time with Mr Newman in New Haven Ct in 1995. It pleased me to no end to be able to buy Mr. Newman lunch (two hotdogs) In person he was a introspective gentle soul who was 100% a gentleman. My love and condolences to his wife Joanne and family. He and you are all a gift to this world. A beacon of grace and dignity. God bless you. Since heaven is not bound by earthly time, find peace in knowing that Paul is in heaven with all of you....now.

May you be comforted Joanne - it must be unbelievably painful for you. He was a giant in the acting world and as a person. I adored him for the last 55 years. I loved his off beat sense of humour. As a mood actor he could not be bettered by anybody.
