  • That castle looks so cool

  • @dahighbar I still have one of those stored away. I think what's left of the original box is with it too.

  • Damn I had them as a Kid

  • The die cast ones were much better. I miss the days of high quality toys, :(

  • Where can I get all five lions? Anybody!

  • wow, i remember getting this for christmas when i was a kid.

  • I wanted this so bad when I was little...but my parents wouldn't get it for me cuz I was a girl. Hey, girls can like boy things too!!!

  • @brbgal Must..resist urge... to make joke... about last sentence...

  • This is the shit!!!! Voltron is, was, and always will be the shit!!! Well if ur an 80's baby!!

  • Wow...just wow. So long ago.....

  • My mom bought my brother the ghetto one from the swamp meet lmfao

  • I just bought this yesterday complete for 5 bucks

  • This was the SHIT back in the day, my older brother wanted this BAD, haha

  • this was better than power rangers

  • YES! This was the version of Voltron I had when I was a kid!! It was my fave toy especially when you had all the guys. Kieth, Hunk, and the others. They fit right in their lions even in Voltron mode!!! It was the most kick ass toy I've ever had and I am kicking myself for giving it away to some kid!!!! Ah well I played the crap out of that Voltron so it wasn't even in mint condition, but it still rocked!!

  • Where can I buy them?

  • I had this set and the die cast ones. They both had advantages. I remember the die cast Voltron was easily the heaviest toy I ever had. Ah to be a kid again...

  • voltron was so cool... i loved those coffins... ;)

  • i just found the blue lion and the green one at the flea market yesterday. I paid $1 for both.

  • well there is one thing this voltron has that the other ones dont you can put the characters inside the lions

  • good times those where

  • I didnt like this Voltron toy. I liked the metal ones more. It was more "realistic" to the cartoon. Voltron ruled tho.

  • As a kid I thought it would be a bright idea to attach a shoe lace to the yellow lion's foot and swing him around...I busted some kid's tooth out by accident in class. D'OH!

  • @imwezl LMAO!

  • To all the Voltron HATERS out there, I still have all the 5 plastic lions and the accessories that go with him brand new in a box (never been played with), and all the good guy action figures unopened, so don't get mad cuz all you could afford was the die-cast ones. Everyone on e-bay has the die-cast ones, but try to find the plastic one in brand new condition and you'll find out that you can't.

  • I was lucky enough to have every one of those toys, but i kept losing the blue lion for some reason......

  • man mine was the great metal one not that shitty plastic one

damn we had better toys in the 80s

  • yeah me too, and i agree with u. i rememmber when tonka truks and the HESS trucks were also made of metal pieces.

  • I was one of those kids that couldn't have a $50 Matchbox Voltron Set. The Panosh place stuff was too fuckin' retarded! It sucked! I saw it for the first time at a friends house and thought it was the coolest toy. Well, 25 years later, I find a Voltron die cast at Toys r Us, only it was made by Trendmasters...it even had a Blazing Sword and other weapons! It was $35...and I was there to buy my daughter a birthday gift! The Trendmaster version discontinued but I've seen it on eBay.

  • @thewseshow Something your lacking?

  • i would do just about anything to have my full set of the (heavy) die-cast lion voltron back

  • there was a die-cast version? mad as, my mate had the plastic one and man did it suck lol, as you can see in this ad, the head doesnt even open properly, really crummy design

  • wow, this is the one I had as a kid. Lots of fun and it didn't hurt me like that fancier die-cast Voltron

  • who the fuck would buy that? they dont even look like them

  • I wonder panosh place is on the web site

  • reject voltron for the poor kids!

  • Back in 1998, I came across a generic Voltron, called "Future Lion". It's exactly like the Panosh Place Voltron but with these problems:

    The joints wouldn't keep still

    The parts kept breaking off

The details were the wrong color

And the figures looked like all-red Ultramen (except one, which, I think, looked like Battle Kenya from Battle Fever J, but all red).

    NOTHING beats the real Voltron.

GO REAL VOLTRON, USE YOUR BLAZING SWORD TO DESTROY THAT $30 KNOCKOFF--LOL!!!

  • didn't these toys have lead in the paint?

  • not enough if some snitch lived to tell about it...

  • When theh hell was this available! I have the lions since forever but they aren't this set! I didn't know you could get the evil ones!

  • Yep. You can still obtain them if interested. Always on ebay and if you google search shops, you will find the others.

  • I used to own the Lion Voltron. I still have it.

  • Do you know of any toy shops that aren't e-bay connected that I can find a loose Matchbox yellow lion? Its the only one I am missing.

  • hmm.. sorry but I only found some on ebay that were in decent condition.

  • DO NOT form Voltron, neigh, even ATTEMPT to form Voltron untill you have ALL the fucking lions! Seriously, dude, DONT DO IT!!!
