@Ssmallfry ......Absolutely!.....We would be honored to meet with you and show you a process that will surprise you!
There are still plenty of spots along Clear Creek that collect fine gold after every storm, also there are spots where Gold is trapped in the bedrock....
@swsluice Awesome - have you been down by Clear Creek lately and seen if it's frozen? I've been kinda itching to get out lately with my own sluice but haven't managed to go check how solid the river is in a while.
@Ssmallfry Actually, We have been keeping an eye on Clear Creek....It does have a great deal of ice on it but there are areas along the south side that are almost accessable....If the temps stay above freezing, It won't be long till we can get in there!
@Ssmallfry ....I will be happy to!......Please go to our website: sidewindersluice dot comand send me your contact info and we will get in touch real soon!
Is this the same as the River Bend Gold Grabber in the GPAA magizine (12/12)? I note that this is a welded design, cost will be high. The RBGG appears to be made from sythetic polymer which would reduce cost.
Actually it appears that RGBB has attempted to duplicate our design in plastic form...
We want to thank you for bringing this to our attention!
-Our planned sales will be very cheap for the expected Gold Yeild that they are proven to capture.........Sidewinder captures Micron Gold Particles at least two to three times better than any other sluice developed by man!.......(keep in mind: we have been testing for 1 year now!)....What is that worth to a serious prospector?
@swsluice Does the performance in retaining gold beat a standard sluice - will the economics pan out. No sluice is a gold vault, they are a choke or resistance to the speed of gold traveling down the stream. A more effective sluice has more choke than others. All gold going into a sluice will eventually come out if not cleaned in time. To compare you must measure the speed of a gold flowing (riffle hopping) under the same conditions.
You are right and wrong........Most straight flow sluice boxes have specific limitations of their value caputuring ability..(liquid flow pressure and velocity are critical in relationship with the size and quantity of the riffles)....It is actually quite simple to compare side to side performance with our Sidewinder Sluice..Known amounts of micron Gold are mixed with soil and gravel, Then the equal amounts are placed into each individual sluice at a particular water speed
You remove the carpet by un-latching the hold down rails and the expanded mesh, then you roll it up similar to other sluices. You can wash the carpet off in a tub or trough and save your concentrates for panning or processing on a shaker table or spiral wheel.
You can watch the Clean Up Process by watching our video: (Sidewinder Cleanup)
Hopefully, we will have some of the models available this spring....We have been forced to move from our
location in Golden Colorado, and it will take awhile to settle into a new shop where we can start fabricating this equipment.......We have so many new attachments and goodies to introduce, but we cannot show them yet until we protect each new attachment individually. Some of the attachments will increase efficiency of all sluice boxes. Take Care
@MrBoondocker72 It will be an honor to custom build one to meet your needs! We will try to get in touch with you as soon as we can.....Thanks Again ED
@boravw1 Yes!.....It is still a bit cold, but usually it is not too bad if you wear gloves and avoid continuous exposure to your skin.
Clear Creek is usually flowing pretty rapidly in the canyon in May because of the snow melt from the mountains. By June or July, the water is very nice.
@rubywarrior1 It handles larger stones in exactly the same way that any sluice box would, They must be periodically removed or they will inhibit the water flow that provides the stratification needed to properly settle down the fine gold particles. The best way to operate this sluice is exactly the same way to operate any sluice box, and that is to first classify the material before you feed it, (sceen out larger rocks ahead of time).
The gold is in another spot!......This video is only an example of the workings of the water diversion................If you look at some of the other videos, you will see plenty of gold from areas that we know the Gold exists.
Note: Testing (4) different Sidewinder models, in an area that is not very good, Has still produced a little over 2-1/2 ounces of flour gold in the last 5 months. We have processed approx 40 cubic yards of bank sand from the edges of the creek.

Interesting, I see where it could be used for very fine gold.
