Tyler Perry is DA MAN. I just saw this movie on my Comcast Cable DEMAND Showtime Premium Channel. IMO, Tyler Perry is a son every mother would love to have. I truly believe that Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard's characters were based on his mother and grandmother and how big of a heart they both had.Even though both women came from different back-grounds, they showed how big a heart they had for others and none of their wayward uppity children could break 30 yrs of friendship.

This was a great movie, but I had trouble following it. There were too many interconnected characters.

I also thought the all the subplots were too dark. "The Family That Preys" should've been called "The Family That Devours."

she had the job of her dreams and a good man. she also had a good sister and mother if she only would of realized it. but she let the money get to head. alls i gotta say is the must of been layin it right and puttin the money in her hand right in order for her to act that sprung. im sorry but no man can come in the way of me and my family no matter how much money he may have.

OMG this movie to me is the best one tyler perry has ever made. in the movie Sanaa Lathen was a bitch true enough but hey she pickked the right one to mess around with just not the right one to have kids with. because any day of the week i wouldnt mind having a few flings with cole hauser. but i would of handled myself better.

I was not that impress with the movie. It could have ended a better way. You hardly saw the kid she was supposely have had by the white man. I did not like the harsh role Sanaa Lathen played. Too damn harsh!!!
