Very well done Markus!,i've had the pleasure of visiting Dusseldorf back in '94,i remember the the area around the international airport the most, but haven't seen it in your video, anyhow, well done indeed.
sorry for this very late reply but here is what I suggest. Before actually going to Germany, I would look for the job I want to do for a living and get trained for it. Besides doing the job, I would take a German course so you learn at least some basic language skills since this is kind of required. Once you have been fully trained for your occupation and got basic german skills, I would look for jobs in germany that involve your profession.
Dont think about going straight to Düsseldorf since you dont know where you're gonna get the job. MAKE SURE that you really have a steady job guaranteed before you move there. Germany has a high unemployment rate and its very hard to find jobs once you're jobless and if you find one, it most likely be a cheap job like a cab driver or cashier or something like that. When you found a place to stay and work, its time to get on the plane.
When you're in Germany, you have to get the papers in order to stay legally and its going to be required for your job. Germany is a very strict country when it comes to get the permanent residence. Since you are there for working purposes, this should ease up on you a bit. Marrying a German chick is also an option and can ease things for you. And from here on, you're pretty much on your own now. You gotta get a temporary residence first and then a permanent.
Once you managed to get the permanent residence (which could take about 5 years) you can apply for the German citizenship. Getting a German passport is a pain in the ass for immigrants and takes a time period of at least 8 years from the time you move to germany. And only if everything goes well. Also make sure you have a clean police record since this will ease it on you BIG TIME. Also dont get in shit in Germany since this could get you deported. If you have anymore questions, ask me GOODLUCK
Markus, thanks for sharing humor [insecure decision-makers in business, seemingly suicidal pedestrians] with a delightful impression of Dusseldorf(ers). :-) Wonderful musical selection. Enjoyed the presentation...
das video ist ja ziemlich genial, aber ... wir haben keinen tv-tower, wir haben einen fernmeldeturm, da liegen telefonanschlüsse drin!!! ansonsten kann ich nur sagen: geile stadt!!! viel besser als köln ;)
Thank you most kindly for this video of Dussledorf which we went to visit last week and enjoyed greatly. Your public transport system in Dussledorf is excellent and the friendlyness of the people there too.
This video is just what I remember of Dusseldorf. I miss it so much,Just have to be brave and get a one way ticket back. Can some one help? the song from 6.37 till 8.33 any idea's what it is. Please I'll owe you...
Nothing against you, but I muted this vid and listened to my own beautiful music, while watching this wonderful video =) .. I love this city - 5 stars!
As much as I hate American driving, I have to admit that they do stop for the pedestrians. Also, it would be more beneficial for viewers if the video was shot during the daylight, not dusk. Otherwise, it was a good tour of Dusseldorf.
In general, we do too in Germany, well at least I do.
On the other hand, it is a game of give and take, because the two young ladies walked ostentatively slowly onto the road after seeing me for quite some time.
I have traveled in only North America and Hawaii, but my parents have enjoyed travels all over the world. And they say "There are many beautiful countries in the world, but Germany is the most beautiful, systematic, and clean country. Their beautiful nature landscape and city planning are beyond praise!!"
Please show us various German daily scenery from now on.
Vielen dank fur das video,wa echt geil :)

Also, If you're a citizen of any country in the European Union, then this should all be a piece of cake and the process will go much faster
