  • are these yellow spots cars or planes?

  • Really puts the odds into perspective. I'll think of this next time I'm scared to fly.

  • Thanks to RVSM!

  • look at bermuda triangle

  • VERY interesting video. Science is awsome, making us able to get this far

  • What about the Bermuda Triangle? Is one a secret place there as well. Pretty cool animation.

  • nice

  • im working towards becoming a air traffic controller

  • is this including tinky 172's and cherokees?

  • now try to understand that each international flight which is a 747 or larger is burning over 45,000 gallons per flight....FACT......which is what the average joe with a pickup truck burns in 33 years...FACT.....Boeing 747 weighs 1 million pounds at takeoff and must weigh less than 640,000 pounds in order to land translating to 360,000 pounds of fuel divided by about 8 pounds per gallon = 45,000 gallons. this is just 1 flight. keep telling yourselves oil is endless...LMFAO.....................

  • @r1a2y3m4o5n6d7 For a guy writing "fact" in all-caps everywhere in his post, you should know that the majority of overseas flights are accomplished by smaller aircraft than 747's, not "or larger" (of which there is only 1 type of) aircraft. 777's, 767's, A-330's/A-340's do a majority of the grunt work, then 747's, and a small handful of the larger A-380's. Oil is not endless, but a drastic, near-immediate, and expensive shift to insufficient alternative energy would crush the world economy.

  • OYG! the UFO traffic in and out of Area 51 must be classed as "VFR"?

    LOL!

  • Good grief - I often fly from DC to NY and vice versa during the day. I had no idea it gets *that* crowded on the east coast!

  • ..."weather" is the main cause for delays in the United States."...well, there ya go, Clem an' Caleb! 'at's the reason fer all 'em, "chem-trails" 'em scientist fellers have been a-sprayin' up yonder...

  • 2:07 bottom right coming from the corner ? pluf ?

  • looks like a bunck of fireflys or ants

  • Now that... is an eye-opener.

  • who wants to be an air traffic controller?

  • @SalamanderTalent people who want a high paying job with little schooling.

  • Actually... this is a microscopic view of Paris Hilton's face after a night of partying.

  • CIVILIAN aircraft ARE NOT forbidden from flying through MOA's (Military Operating Areas) As a matter of fact VFR Civilian fly through MOA all the time .. and do legally

This animation show IFR flights ONLY (aircraft on IFR flight plans) and does not show the majority of flights made in the US which are VFR without a flight plan (once again legally)

BUT yes IFR flights are vectored around ACTIVE MOA"S That is why the empty "triangle" by San Fran

  • sorry i just couldn't stop laughing looking at this xD and i bet one of those flights was an NBA flight xP after all, its a whole 24 hours and this video being posted in februar---or wait...it might have been all-star break. Nah...if it was then there would have been a lot more traffic going to dallas. So forget about the all-star break...i think >.o

  • @chairmanofrussia oh wait that was august 25 2005 xD nvm

  • The airplane in the lower hole of California could have been shot down at 1:38 :\

  • that is alot of planes.

  • crazy how there isn't more air crashes

  • they look like bugs lol

  • At 2:05 there is a plane circling on the right hand side and vanishes... wtf 0_o

  • @1Explosivez1 lol, that is weird

  • looks like sperms

  • great job man love ur vids

  • When I see things like this, I think "UP YOURS, OBAMA."

  • @JackBlair2 that makes no sense.

  • @JackBlair2 Why?

  • @JackBlair2 I agree lol.

  • The west coast lol :(

  • Flightradar24 is a great way to view air traffic. Oh, and is it just me or is there way more air traffic over europe?

  • @killzone10 I don't know, I read somewhere that the US Air Traffic accounts for around 70% of the Worlds air traffic. I could be wrong though. But you have to think that a lot of Europeans take the train too.

  • @phillyslasher

Ah, well i don't really know either. I was just viewing flightrader the other day and i noticed that there was way, way more traffic over Europe then over North America. But it might have something to do with the timezones.

  • alright so the question is how do we fix the weather problem lol.

  • Where did you get this!?!?

  • @2:04 a plane on the right circles into nothing over the atlantic... I hope they're ok!

  • wow..That was really cool!

  • thumbs up to Air traffic controllers

  • B O R I N G . . .

  • That's one way of telling the enemies where your secrets are :p

  • "Four New York area airports"

Actually, there's like six commercial airports in NYC area. Yes, I understand that the Westchester County Airport and Long Island McArthur Airport is not owned by the Port Authority of NJ and NY so they're only including the one owned by Port Authority

  • this is freaking everyday

  • insane

  • Lol there are no civilian aircraft allowed in the holes of the San Fransisco-Los Angeles- Salt Lake City Triangle, and yet you can still see aircraft flying over those areas.

  • @PPKDude852 Not all of these flights are civilian! You can see two clear tangles. There is one small flight path between the areas and some of the planes are military flights going to or over those areas.

  • @PPKDude852

    Military probably

  • Woah :o

  • Thats actually really interesting - especially as a new day dawns and you can see the traffic pick up from east to west.

  • Let me add the Two holes in Nevada and California is Nellis air force range and Area 51 hah/

  • @locolalo1364 Area 51, S-4, and Groom Lake ( Dreamland ) are all part of and within the Nellis Range. They are not two separate entities.

The area in southern California corresponds to the AF testing areas used by Edwards AFB and Vandenberg AFB.

  • @locolalo1364 no shit...really....i'm glad you're around to tell us these things!

  • @locolalo1364 Area 51 is a whole bunch of bullshit...area 52 is the secret base. Well that, and Groom Lake. brb...got a knock on my door. Looks like.....navy seals? Oh shit.

  • @locolalo1364 lol wt do u mean

  • do atc's work 8 hour shifts or 12's?

  • yea, i have no. 101 comment!! :D:D

  • 2@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

  • no plane seems to land in the North lol

  • Thank god for ATC!!!

  • cool

  • wow global warming!!!!!!! lol kinda scary thinking about it

  • OMG! Just Imagine the days before and after 9/11.

  • It's like watching ants.

  • when i'm afraid to fly i watch this vid

  • @minored360 Yea, it is amazing, People don't realize just how many planes are in the sky. It really does make you realize how safe flying is.

  • kinda reminds me of the movie outbreak lol

  • yea...i quit lol

  • nice!!!

  • 5.000 in the peak wow.. sick

  • that's why american burn most gas and oil and emit most CO2 in the world

  • @jerjeremy Yeah well, China is among the leaders in pollution as well. So don't put the entire blame on Americans.

  • @philip21786 i just want to say all of us living on this planet have the respondsibility to save it from pollution.

  • FUCK ME!!! There's that many planes in the sky??!? And that's only in America!

  • @UnaVidaInfeliz I know right!!!!!!! I honestly had no friggin clue that there was that many up in the air at one time! lol

  • Those look like sperm.

  • ANTS!

  • holy shit

  • wow

  • nice..

  • THATS CRAZY !

  • The huge view if the entire country is meant to give the impression that air traffic control is kept so busy dealing with these aircraft that they can't respond to hijackings... (or?)

This is simply not the case and

the entire "official" fairy tale about 9/11/2001 is still BOGUS!

  • Comment removed

  • and you base that assumption upon

    what exactly?

  • Those are not planes, those are ants! ;D

    POV is key.

  • This is pretty mind blowing. I never had a real good idea of the number of planes flying. I love how they dodge the weather though.

  • Interesting video.

  • It's like watching a bunch of aints.

  • I wonder if this includes U.S. military air craft

  • Comment removed

  • they should show how much sperm is spread in one day ahhahaha i bet it is more that that lol

  • talk about Sperm gettin to the EGgs!!! lol

  • Does anyone notice that the contrails do not dispurse as quickly as 10 years ago?

When the jet stream is at a low velosity, the contrails resemble cirrus clouds.

Iwonder how much JP5 exhaust is put into our atmosphere?

  • @divorceboy I think I saw Al Gores PRIVATE jet flying out of Tennessee a few times. And if you look close you can see all the jets flying to Copenhagen for the Earth Summit. Was that Air Force One? Nah..obama cares about all of us,He flies economy class on Hope Airlines.

  • i know what your talking about, yeah the trails sometimes last the whole day there, theres a conspiracy going on that they are actually chemicals being dropped over us, hence the name "ChemTrails" kinda weird in my opinion

  • @cipher1x The name is actually 'comtrails'. Its origin is disputed but both are similar. It comes from comet trails as what a comet does in space. And the second claim is that the first passenger jet in service was the DeHavilland Comet, and it made these same trails and so the pilots nicknamed the trails, 'comet trails'. It has nothing to do with chemicals, and the trails are nothing more than water vapor, as jet engines are 20% burn and 80% compressed bypass air for thrust.

  • @rehma6b0 that's just bologna. They're called CONTRAILS. It comes from the words condensation and trails. You really shouldn't make up random stuff... It's not cool...

  • @cjracer1000 Hey little kid, stick to what you know like toys and stuff. I'm an air traffic control specialist and you're not for a reason. I also have my private multi rating, you don't. Hush little boy.

  • @rehma6b0 Do a quick google search for "comtrails" and then do a google search for "contrails" and see what comes up for each. You may, or may not be a pilot and air traffic controller, but I have only heard them to be known as contrails....

  • With the economy being so tight not much fuel is wasted unless for some reason the aircraft has to divert and land early than they have to dump most all leftover fuel to land on nearly empty tanks .

So if one takes off and has to return to unload a unruly passenger or for an emergency think of where all that fuel they just loaded has to go? over the local trailer park..

  • cool

  • Awesome 5 stars, very informative!

  • THIS IS SO FUNNY. Becaue now when I look at the news and they say that 2 airplane also hit one another LoL. Now I would say it's under stand able.

  • very interesting! thanks

  • This video would be better if they all crashed at the same time

  • Just cut the power to Air Traffic Controle and watch the caos begin.....

  • yeah ok . your spelling led me to believe you are 10 years old . i guess thats why you comment was so farfetched

  • WA WA WA!! If you knew how hard it was to type with 1 arm and a patch over my left eye you would recant!

  • the power could be cut but due to backup generators it would be back operating within seconds . the pity card you just played was pretty stale also ...

  • Damn ! you got me , Kicked my 1 good leg right out from under me.. I'll go jump out my basement window now..

  • ★★★★★ - dont fall too far

  • Did you mean Yea and I and insted of you you really meant your and also far fetched is 2 words .

So thats my one mistake to your 4 ...Who's the 10yo now? HAHAHA.

    Tuner Troll ?

  • ★★★★★★★★★★ - you just hit the double deuce jackpot round ! im typing with my big toe . i have only a leg torso and head . my leg has 2 toes . i run really slow lookin like the tower of piza so i go in counter clock-wise circles due to my physical condition and centrifugal force . im like a human top i tell ya . just put my prosthetic leg on the merry go round and ill spin like some rims on a rap video .

  • I guess you want someone else to correct YOUR spelling and grammar? I think not...

  • @ding0925 Every one will switch to 121.5 MHz and the emergency frequency will become the CTAF frequency at the terminal airports. There wont be any chaos.

  • @bnz500 the closest thing to what you are saying would be the grounding of all aircraft right after 9/11.

  • *at midnight

  • I've never imagined there're still at least 900 aircrafts above the land.

  • Thanks for putting this one up. Very interesting.

  • bad ass

  • That's Why Airbus Created The A380

  • I want that program

  • the planet will be fine, the people on it are fucked. Earth will shake us off like a bad case of flees

  • @killswitchdeath lol nice ! George Carlin ruled!!!

  • awesome vid!!!!

  • I wonder if the days around 911 are available. Do you think pollution data is available?

  • ... read up on the pollution the large tankers floating throughout the oceans emit.

then the pollution all those planes emit will seem like small potatoes.

  • @neilct1985

Airplane cargo is a drop in a large bucket compared to an ocean ship. The pollution vs what is hauled is minor. Trains and Ships own planes in the pollution department.

  • i think you just reiterated what i stated?

the worlds 16 largest tanker ships emit more sulphur then every car in the world combined. Theres also an estimated 100,000 ships in service.

yet those who complain about pollution only look and complain about the pollution created on land.

a tanker can burn 'bunker fuel' yet its illegal to burn it on land due to the pollution.

ill stop my rant. your comment just ircked me and got me thinking about the idiocy of green people.

  • as an example:

bunker fuel has 4500 times more sulpher then the gas burned by cars. yet green people only seem to complain about the pollution emitted by a car and think a hybrid is actually going to make a difference.

i guess if they dont see it, it doesnt happen?

  • And watch a freight train with 4 eng blowing black smoke ..

  • Holy Smokes! SO much Aircraft over the East Coast

  • This is astonishing.

  • RDU thats my home airport! too bad its not an american hub anymore :( those were the golden years as they say...

  • Pretty good info but i want to ask what is the busiest airport in the world??? Great video 5/5

  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport - Atlanta, GA [when you consider Passenger traffic + Cargo traffic + Landing/Takeoffs]

By Cargo Traffic only, its Memphis Intl Airport, TN.

  • thanx lol

  • @aboriad15 I think its Heathrow in London

  • thanx!

  • WooooooooW it's like the bees when they work in their hives :D

  • holy shit, this is amazing! Great videos as usual Airboyd!

  • why they used data of 2005, while we are in 2010??? If NASA is the source, it should not have been a problem getting data for atleast 2009...

  • @aviyanka070

     yea, hmmmm

  • I seen this type of video before it is pretty cool.

  • this is cool

  • A Lot of US aircraft fly directly over my house from EGCC.

  • did the aircraft making a circle at 2:07 at the atlantic ocean, south of long island crash

  • @dukee155 probably not... if they disapear it may mean they are under radar coverage

  • Hmm, that's odd. It just appears to vanish.

  • @dukee155 they may have just landed on a place too small to draw to scale

  • HMMM.. Interesting!

  • thanks for sharing this.

  • very cool!

  • Pretty interesting

  • Cool

  • Holy! That is interesting
