  • Carlos, you have identified it correctly as NVIS. I believe this is Es (Sporadic E) NVIS. May to Aug is Es peak (north hemisph), but most people think of Es of 10m and 6m to DX. If the sporadic E cloud is over you, you can also work Es NVIS, ex. if the (2200km) EsMUF reaches 60MHZ, then 60/3.4 would give you foEs of 18MHz. Reson most operators don't look for Es (NVIS) on lower bands due to E and F2 are more reliable. I worked a station on 10m 200km from me when 6m was alive with Es in 2007.

    Hi

Thanks for your coment. I `m not shure that this QSOs was NVIS. I do not seen Arenosillo ionoprobe at the time, but, I remember that the upper frequencys was closed. CT1CHV was only few tens Km away from CT1PR and canot copy CT1PR. Under 30/40km, the QSO was not possible. foF2 was somewhere near 13/14Mhz, I copy both stations because I was in a angle under critical (I was about 80º).

Is possible that was esporadique E propagation, but strange the upper bands was closed

  • sim senhor a propagaçao anda a pregar-nos partidas.
