I live in b-more. and i have to say, i miss boller, yes hes not the best QB in the league but he is definitely not the best, I can tell you right now though, we was definitely better then Steve McNair, i am not sure how or why he did this but who cares. It wasn't IN the game, he was on the sidelines. He would have been a good QB if he had a decent Head Couch and a decent offensive line (at the time) now we are (a year later, with a rookie head couch and QB) 11-5 and in the playoffs!! Woo Wo0

The three possible starting quarterbacks this year were Joe Flacco, Troy Smith, and Kyle Boller. Kyle Boller tore his shoulder, but even if he didn't, Troy Smith would be playing over him. Troy Smith came down with tonsilitus and lost 20 pounds, so Flacco started. Doing very well, might I add. Now, between Flacco and Smith, I wouldn't know who's better.
In addition, this is the funniest video I've ever seen.

It was actually Troy Smith, Kyle Boller and Joe Flacco in the begginning of he season. Troy Smith and Boller were fighting for starting and as you said they both got knocked out. But your right he was supposed to be started but they had him listed as second string to influence T.Smith to try harder to keep his spot.

I will say he does step up in big games like the Monday night game and Christmas game against the Pack and Vikings and did well against the Pats on Monday night, but when it comes down to it, Boller also help the Ravens lose that Monday night game by throwing a bone head interception. Boller makes Dilfer look like Unitas.

wow beverly, i have looked at his stats. They aren't bad. First off, Kyle has a higher QB rating than McNair. And everyone thought mcnair was awesome. Kyle's percentages are always in the 60's, no thats not amazing, but thats pretty damn good, when you are throwing about 13/20 per game, and some games he goes 80 percent, so you can't judge him just because of what the paper says. He gets ONE fumble, and people are saying "same ol' boller." give me a fucking break, what qb hasn't had a fumble?

thats great his stats are decent. But why are his INT more then his TD's and the last time I checked you can throw 50 tds a year with 5000 yards but if you dont win, who the hell cares? Trent Dilfer didnt put up great numbers but he was able to lead the ravens down the field when they needed it to get 3 or 6. Boller cant do that, Boller cant win, whenever hes in, they lose!!! just look at the one year he doesnt play the full year and they go 13-3! the next year they go 5-11. 06 they go 6-10

No, he actually has more TDs than INT. Having a good QB is one thing, having a good defense is another, but having a bad overall offense is the BIG picture. Our offensive line sucked in 05', idk how they did well in 06', and then suck again in 07'. Its a mystery, but did you see how many times Boller was rushed? And how many dropped passes his wide receivers would make?

Wow he has 1 more TD pass then an INT (45/44). Good Lord if Boller was any good he find a way to win. Good QB's & Great QB's find ways to win even when they dont have the players around them. Look at Brady, he NEVER had any good or great WR or TE yet he found a way to go out and make it happen. Then when he does get some good/great WR's look what happens. The Ravens offense wouldnt be nearly as bad if they had a QB who had poise and leadership and could lead the team down the field.

Tom Brady hasent always had a good offensive line but when your an o-lineman and you have a qb like Brady you do your best to protect him because you respect him and he gives you a chance to win. The only reason Joe is replacing boller is because boller is out for the season with a torn shoulder. Don't get me wrong, flacco did pretty good today but Boller has an average of 65% completion percentage, and i believe flacco went something like 20-40, idk the exact stats, i didn't see them at the end.

and trust me as an o-linemen it makes a HUGE differnce on who your QB is. Look at how well McNair was protected when he played, yeah he was out for a game here and there because of a spike going into his hand, but the team had more confidence and was able to drive down the field. This Boller guy, cant even go a game without tripping on his own feet. Hell if Boller starts 16 games this season, I guarentee unless he has a miracle of a season he will throw more then 20 INT's & fumble 10 times

Vince Young is a good example especially for a mobile QB with no receiving targets. He does not run when it is not necessary.me and my bro are Titan fans and we always get mad and yell at the tv for him to run like on each play lol.but he is trying to become a better passer so he tries to make passes..Vick was a bad example of a mobile QB..i think the best example would have been Steve McNair.very tough, very physical, hits like a fullback when he runs but also a great play maker and passer.
