A 2005-09 study by Elaine Howard Ecklund concluded that about 52% of hard scientists are non-religious (many of whom are agnostic or atheist); whereas 14% of the general public are non-religious.
Another study surveyed eminent biological and physical scientists of the National Academy of Sciences and found that only 7% believed in a personal god!
