  • I'd go with this line up: (Just Like) Starting Over Daytime Nighttime Suffering Blow Away Woman Coming Up Your Love Is Forever Watching The Wheels I'm Losing You Arrow Trough Me Not Guilty Goodnight Tonight (sung by Ringo) Beautiful Boy
  • Well said! Peace!

  • Beatle's Secret Sessions 1976 album - Don't Tell a Soul, It Never Happened, Goodnight All, Put That Guitar Away, Not Another Love Song, Silly Songs Make

Me Cry, and Could I Offer You a Spot of Tea. Songs you never heard of and never

will and why do you ask? Because it was a secret session.....lol

  • I love it, I think you have made a wonderful collection of songs from all of their work, together or single. I don't care what other people think, like it or not. I love it. Well done.

  • Why is this getting slated by so many people, good effort I say, interesting, thanks for taking the time mate to make this.

  • @JRGrange25 Look up the word "slate" or "slated" in a dictionary and you'll see that your comment makes no sense. Learn to construct a sentence correctly if you want people to understand what you write. What was "this" slated for? What does your comment mean?

  • @mrfester42 Ok Mr Dictionary, why is 'this' video entitled 'The Beatles 1980 Album - (JUST LIKE) STARTING OVER', generating so much negativity? is that ok for you? you sure?, are you satisfied? fucking college boy......or girl.

  • @JRGrange25 Why does my education put you on the defensive? As for my response to your comment with the word "slated", it was made because I didn't understand what you wrote. It didn't make sense to me. I wanted to understand you but it was so poorly written that the meaning was totally obstructed. I comment on poor writing and spelling skills because people seem to be oblivious to the fact that it is basic to everything in life that involves any kind of interaction with other people. CONT.

  • @mrfester42 Your education has nothing to do with me being defensive, it's how you originally approached my comment about the video being slated. Why? well for a start you instructed me to 'learn how to construct a sentence' pretty insulting...wouldn't you think? you could have said, 'Sorry what do you mean by this?' or 'Could you explain your comment to me?, I don't understand' But for an 'educated' man, why do you need me to explain the meaning of it?, is it that hard to figure out?

  • @JRGrange25 When you communicate so poorly that you leave people guessing what you mean... you lose. You lose in relationships, careers, dealing with the law, financially. I "get it" that some people aren't that skilled at it...dyslexics for example. A word spelled wrong here and there or a poor sentence structure occaisionally is no big deal but everywhere I look I'm reading writing that is totally meaningless and it shows that this country is a mess and that people haave no pride. CONT.

  • @mrfester42 lol this comment, hilarious. So I lose at everything in life? so I have lost everything? well funny enough I am in a relationship with a great girl, own my own house and car, am finacially stable and have a pretty decent job. Point out my loss...please, I am dying to see my loss in life. I haven't had the pleasure of dealing with any law...to date, and it looks like my poor education is not going to help me attain that sort of attention. Your point's are completely.......flawed.

  • @JRGrange25 When you have to respond a second time to explain what you wrote the first time, you lose. You obviously have something to say that you feel is important. Learn how to speak and write effectively and you'll be beter off in every area of your life. You wont need to get angry and you wont need to use curses to display your insecurity and to get your meaning across

  • @mrfester42 Jesus Christ where did this guy come from, I have never known such an agressive attitude towards someone, just because they made a grammar error. Sure I did, so what? is it relevant to this video, I am sure you knew what I was talking about. But you are seriously disturbed, back the fuck down dude and chill out, no need for all this anger and malice directed at people. You might be pissed with the world, you prob think it owes you something.

  • @JRGrange25 You're reading something into my responses that isn't there. You're making incorrect assumptions. I'm not being aggresive and I'm not angry and I feel no malice. I make a point, which you need not agree with, but you reply with "back the fuck down dude...". That seems angry and aggresive to me. I'll tell you for the 3rd time, since you didn't get it the first 2 times. It started because I did NOT understand what you wrote. I'm having a conversation but I'm not being heard.

  • @JRGrange25 Since I'm not being heard I'll just say, sorry to waste your time. Take it easy!

  • @mrfester42 Absolutely, I don't know why we had to quarrel over something so small....we are both Beatles fan's lets thrive on something we have in common eh? take care of yourself :o)

  • @mrfester42 Furthermore, why is it about winning or loosing? you see that comment there summed you up to me, you want power over people, you have turned this into a match, and already by your rule, I have lost. So is that what you do on You Tube all day?, find potential opponents so you can have fantasy sparring sessions with that incorporate a war of words? does it boost your ego? make you feel bigger and better? do you feel you have the right to pass judgement on all who use You Tube?

  • Comment removed

  • @mrfester42 Oh and learn how to spell 'better' properly in future, if you need help, go look it up in the dictionary. You have fergotten something in 'won't' aswell, twice. Where is the full stop at the end of 'across'?

  • paul is alive for real paul is dead thats a trick

  • goodnight is crap

  • this is goofy.

  • amazing they all were genius

  • 00:35 qué show de Paul fue ese? Usando esa camisa roja y ese bajo. Alguien sabe?

  • 1. Just Like Starting Over 2. Coming Up 3. Love Comes To Everyone 4. Watching The Wheels 5. Temporary Secratery 6. Woman 7. Waterfalls 8. Not Guilty 9. Bad Boy 10. I'm Losing You 11. On The Way
  • *****

  • Though the sentiment is nice, I gotta say most of the non-lennon written tunes are all that great, George didn't really hit a nice stride again till the late 80's early 90's, Ringo spent his time on Shining Time Station, and Paul, well only my opinion, but haven't been a fan of his post-Beatles work, I think he needed John.

  • @jimmyjudd2001 Finally i see someone who thinks just like me. Yeah, Paul needed John to write songs like Let It Be, or Hey Jude, the demonstration? His best solo songs were Dear Friend and Too many people, both them referring to John Lennon. Paul's inspiration was John's soul.

  • @WiltatKansas True, but John's songs seem unfinished, waiting for Paul. While Paul's seemed finished, not needing John. John didn't help Paul write Yesterday, and that's the most covered song of all time.

  • @conicteamtv Thats absolut ebulshit John's songs didn't need Paulñ that's crap, Imagine was totally finished, Just Like starting Over too, Nobody knocs Paul solo career. You lost, game over.

  • @WiltatKansas Imagine was written during his time with The Beatles. And nobody knows Paul's solo career? Tell that to the thousands of people (including me) who have come to see Paul in concert. Ever heard Give Peace a Chance? That song was the same over and over again. Paul could write brilliant songs on his own such as "Yesterday" "Fine Line" "Jenny Wren" "(I Want To) Come Home" the list goes on and on.

  • @conicteamtv Yeahbut everybody knows that John Lennon was genius,a special personality and he sang with his feelings,Paul is a better musician but John was a better songwriter, people who listen to Paul solo stuff is because they were beatles fans but Lennon is well known by everybody even if they are not beatle fans they know about his songs because he sent a message to the world with his music and he was the influential guy.

  • @conicteamtv Paul was the succes and the popularity but John was the importance & the influence, the guy who changed the world during the 60's when he said that about Jesus & jewelry

  • @WiltatKansas -CONTINUED- In the end, it's basically about the music and what it inspires in people. Reducing anyone to two characteristics is what cartoonists do. Thinking that two comments "change the world" is ridiculous. Ask most people who were alive AND into the Beatles back then if those comments color their opinion about Lennon or the Beatles and I'll bet anything that they don't. NOTHING is that simple.

  • @conicteamtv Paul was the succes and the popularity but John was the importance & the influence, the guy who changed the world during the 60's when he said that about Jesus & jewelry. Nothing in life is by chance and if John Lenno was murdered after releasing hsi last amazing album is because of the destyny. Nobody can compete against Paul's gift for music but nobody can steal John's mark in history, he was the original beatle and the founder of that band.

  • @conicteamtv The Beatles were called Johnny and the moondogs and John and the silver beetles, why the beatles weren't called Paul and the moondogs or George and the silver beatles? Because john Lennon was the leader. I will go with John all the day.

  • @WiltatKansas Paul wasn't in the group"Johnny and the Moondogs" !

  • @WiltatKansas Go with whoever you want. John was the leader in that he started the group but their wasn't any leader in the group. They worked by total agreement. They, all four ,had to agree on something or they didn't do it. I'm a fan since '64 and I've read almost everything written about them and there was no groupleader. John has always been called the leader but it doesn't mean anything. It's one of those things that just keeps getting repeated which makes people take it as fact.

  • I'm happy they split up and did their own thing. We got much more music out of them

    too.

  • take it away is of 1982, couldn't go in this 1980 selection, don't you?

  • @iempsa Paul began sessions for Tug of War in 1980. so it's conceivable Take It Away could have been recorded with the Beatles. Also, George's All Those Years Ago was written with different lyrics when John was alive, and it was possibly recorded. so that would have been a nice closer to the album that never took place.

  • no tienes idea de lo que hiciste, deberias documentarte mucho mucho mas para por lo menos considerar hacer una selección de 50 canciones posibles.

  • The majority of the non-Lennon songs are from '74, not 1980!! Plus....I don't believe you could've picked worse songs from the others than you did. Terrible, terrible, post from you! SHAME!!!!

  • @paranormal33 mate it was just something i did 3 years ago for a laugh from the songs i had availiable, i couldn't really give a shit what you think. i know they're not all from 1980, but i don't have all the 1979/80/81 solo albums (McCartney II, Somewhere in England, and whatever Ringo was doing)

if you read the description, it's not meant to be a serious collection.

  • @josh9wwfc Hi Josh, although its not meant to be serious, its alright, its fun to watch it, nice idea, thank you for having it and doing it. I like it.

  • @josh9wwfc NOT ENOUGH GEORGE HARRISON... HE CONSISTANTLY PUT OUT ALBUMS FROM 1970 to the Late 80s...

  • @BL80488 oh, but that was in keeping with John and Paul fucking George over on all the other albums. Old habits DO die hard

  • @ClarenceFisher I'm assuming you agree with me?

  • @BL80488 I certainly am. I couldn't believe it when John and Paul completely blew him off during Get Back when he was offering up All Things Must Pass, Isn't It A Pity, and during the White Album when he offered up Not Guilty. From what I've been reading over the years, John was so cruel to him throughout the Beatles' existence.

  • @josh9wwfc I disagree with paraniormal, i think Double Fantasy released in 1980 is too much great and the other beatles were releasing crap at the time, in fact i tried to do a 1980 Album and i couldn't do it becasue i didn't find a good son from Harrison or McCartney. So, good video and choices.

  • @josh9wwfc Don't listen to them, they are angry because Lennon was the actual greatest, they cannot realize that Paul and George needed him, becasue Lennon had all the charisma of The Beatles.

  • @paranormal33 It's not the music choice that failed but Paul and George who wrote crap during the late 70's on.

  • @paranormal33 Woman 1980,starting over 1980,watching the wheels 1980,borrowed time 1980,and lousing you 1980,are you kidding?wtf album double fantasy

  • @MrCostanica

Like I said, The majority of the non-Lennon songs are from '74, not 1980!

  • @paranormal33 here,all songs are from 1980,you are wrong

  • @paranormal33 Terrible was what the others wrote in 1980

  • goodnight tonight was released in 84

  • @JTX5 no it was released in 1979, look it up (:

  • I still think they would've left off where they ended with the white album abbey road and let it be. They would've been experimenting with sounds again, and thats the beatles we know and love R.I.P. John Lennon and George harrison may you find your way back home.

  • could have great but john died in 1980 closing any possibility of reunion

  • So this proves that by '80 all the Beatles basically became Barry Manilow.

  • john would not have let put shit songs like goodnight tonight out

  • great songs, and to everyone who wants to discuss on the best of them: John is the myth, Paul the legend, George the mysterious and Ringo the funny one.

  • Comment removed

  • @mecaesare Another clueless person reducing very complex people to one characteristic. That's what cartoonists do. Read one or two books on the Beatles and you'll know nothing. Listen to their music for 30 years, have a two hour conversation about them with 20 people who grew up when they were THE Beatles and read 10 books by people who really knew them. Then, MAYBE, you'll know a little bit about it. If you can't do those things... enjoy the music and don't waste your time expounding!.

  • @mrfester42 Well, it took one minute only, what's one minute?

  • lennon has the best songs ever r.i.p john lennon

  • I'm surprised no one commented on the shirt John is wearing at 1:45, i mean was he in the illuminati or had he been replaced with a reptilian at that point ? Oh yeah as for the myth about John i think he would have been pretty pissed off on 9/11 especially when we find out the terrorists don't want peace and want to die for thier cause, never fuck with a pacifist

  • got my mind set on you

  • This is why John Lennon is the soul of The Beatles, because the other beatles lost the beatle sound ater Lennon's death and Lennon's last album got the sound of The Beatles, then he was murdered.

  • John Lennon's are the best for sure!

  • Always.

  • When you're listening to those Lennon tracks they're the result of five years — it's wrong to assume that he woke up the night before and wrote that entire album. Also the magic of the Beatles was them working together, but this try is appreciated and perhaps a sad reminder of what might have been.

  • @michaeljamespinto That's not exactly, becasue the songs he wrote for the Double Fantasy were written close to 1980, during those five years Lennon wrote Real Love, Now And Then and Free As a Bird, as you know the rest of the beatles used those demos to make their last songs. This shows that Lennon was the soul of the beatles, it's personality, comes from Lennon.

  • Am I the only one that has ever wondered if John heard Freebird by Lynard Skynard and loved the lyric and was just mucking about on the piano with that lyric and that is were that demo came from. " I'm as free as a bird now and this bird you cannot change."

  • Even in 1980, Lennon was still clearly way ahead of his old band mates in terms of song writing, even after taking 5 years off. Paul was always just a gum-ball pop song writer, while John made incredible soulful music.

  • That's just because the Paul's songs included in this "album" are the most "poppy" ones. He did plenty of good "soulful" music at that time too

  • Comment removed

  • Let's not forget 'Six O'Clock' sung by Ringo, written by Paul with Klaus Voorman on bass...

  • If John hadn't been murdered he would probably still be putting out great stuff at almost 70. Look at Dylan, and John was at least his equal.

  • IF the Beatles had still been together in 1980 they'd have written entirely different songs than they did as solo artists so it is kind of an act of futility to try and second guess them.

For instance, why would John write "Starting Over" which was like his Come Back song cause he'd been "retired" if he was still part of a group?

  • Well, maybe imagine he's "starting over" with The Beatles??

  • imagine lol

  • @FlamingoKicker John Lennon said that Woman would be how The Beatles would sound if they were thogether in 1980. John Lennon was the soul of The Beatles, if you want to listen to The beatles in 1980 just listen to the Double Fantasy album.

  • You gotta figure that 'Not Guilty,' an outtake from the White Album, and "Here Comes The Moon" would have been among George's contributions.

And "Woman" would have been amazing by the Beatles.

  • It's all about George's stuff on here.

  • Lennon's songs... the best ones over all of them....

  • omg I love the picture at 04:45 :D

can you please give me that picture?

  • i just found it on google, and because i did this like a year ago, i can't remember what i searched. i reckon it'd come up if you just put 'beatles1970s' in or something?

  • i like the inclusion of goodnight tonight. pauls bass playing in that tune is funkin funky as all hell!

  • isn't take it away from the tug of war album - released in 1982?

  • if you read the description...........

  • ((oo))

  • Waterfall would have been used. It was a good song with GREAT potential, that desperately needed Beatles polish to realize this potential.

  • Ringo would Wrack My Brain, on an 80'ish session. Paul would Waterfall.

  • Even something from Ringo's Bad Boy album woulda sufficed. Good work though.

  • Agree with yer idea. But think Macca would have had Waterfalls in there somewhere. Ace track list tho. Ace Beatles album think it wouldn't have been far from that

  • Coming Up Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good job. It's could be a nice album. Thanks for posting. "Teardrops", almost 30 after, sounds very actually.

  • oh no..... beatles= 60's

  • 1 just like starting over 2 love comes to everyone 3 coming up 4 beautiful boy(darling boy) 5 blow away 6 goodnight tonight 7 watching the wheels 8 daytime nighttime suffering 9 not gulity 10 here comes the moon 11 rockestra theme 12 woman
  • @daverudynski that is a list that makes sense to me.

  • thanks

  • lennon commented once that coming up was great and it inspired him to get his shit together.

  • Individually Mcartney and wings,I mean Wings is what I think of when I think of Paul;post Beatles. They had a MUCH different sound than Lennon did. Wings put out a slew of hit almbums. (cause Paul didnt die so young :( I mean Band on the Run or Ram, while amazing in thier own right don't sound much like the Beatles. Paul got much more technical, musically. However I think the 80's Beatles would have sounded more like Lennons stuff. Imagine ect, nice n simple for Ringo's sake,Amazing nonetheless.

  • The Beatles sound in 1980 would have been like Woman. I think John was after a beatley sound on that one.

  • i know, it's bloody awful but i just imagined that Coming Up would have more than likely been included in the can for this imaginary album if it was recorded

  • Very interesting and intriguing concept :)

  • it's not an accurate playlist - i just tried to make a nice compilation from what i had availiable.... AND YOUR SUPPOSED TO IMAGINE THEM IN A BEATLES ALBUM - FORGET WEATHER THEY WERE TO BE/HAVE BEEN RECORDED OR NOT ;]

    use your imagination :)

  • An interesting playlist!

  • this is really good
