I disagree the TV I had was terrible it would always over heat. The only reason I watched on that old TV we had was the fact that I didn't have a computer. I also think we only had 2-4 TV's one big Trintron and a small one. Then one that was built into the den wall, that one was always being used. So I got stuck on the big sizeling pot. Ha ha ha
@Sprafikk Unlikely; HDMI was not even created until late 2002 and from that note not even standard on HDTVs and other such devices for some time after... though there could be perhaps a converter you can use for it.
well if you dont need HD, then i can guess so this TV was very good for its time but then again as more and more people get HD the standard TVs you see around will continue to dwindle...

I have a Sony trinitron manufactured in 1994 and it still works like a charm! It's a 30 inch!!! Love it!

I use to have a 36 inch Sony Trinitron Great Tv , HEAVY LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER. that thing was a heavy son of a bitch. But I love it. Great picture.
