Does any one know what the minimum compression ratio is to run alchol? I have a big block at around 12.5:1, is this enough?

sick that it runs on alchol but the problum is i wont be able to drive it cause iam gonna be to tempeted to go under the car cut the gas line and stuf it in my mouth

@bettafish110 You do realize that methanol alcohol which is what racecars typically run on is poisonous. yes I know there are some than run on ethanol which is non-poisonous but the alochol typically used in racing is methanol.

a simple block heater would do wonders for the starter, and I think gasoline not starting fluid. we found we were ovaling the cylinders by starting the engine cold plus a pre-heated alky motor is way easier to start

so yall not know that alky fed motors dont like cold... alcohol needs to be heated in some way before it wants to start... i suggest running it off gas till it warms up then switching to alky.

just get a old plastic bottle for like ketchup that have the spouts. fill it with alcohol and squeeze some into the bowl of the carb, you'll start it alot faster and you wont risk the chance of fucking ur motor up with ether,.,.

having a little engine problems? check your fuel lines, fuel pump and filter, then change the spark plugs. thats about it. tell me how that goes.
