  • Try holding heavy dumb bells at your sides like suit cases and squat. Always remember to keep your head up! Never look down when stressing your back. I'm concerned that the dip belt could stress the lumbar curve with the direct pressure.

  • Squats are only good because you can add a lot of weight and most important is it works basically every muscle in your body. If your core or upper back is weak that your squats will suck. Leg press is the ultimate pure leg exercise

    I used to work out my legs, until I found out it just causes my body to grow less on my upper body. I've had the most gains I EVER had in my entire life now that I stopped working out my legs. But hey, you can do whatever the fuck you wanna do ;) I know that this works for me at least. I worked out for 2 years already and now suddenly since making this change I've been making the biggest improvements ever.

Bro.. you need to seriously strengthen your lower back, that shit isn't even funny. 135lb squat with your size & weight. i dont know if you've tried this, but you should do some lower back extensions. Just do them with your own body weight. Let me know how it turns out.

  • Hey guys, just wondering if you could answer this for me. I just turned 15 and really want to start doing squats and deadlifts because I heard they make your whole body stronger and are one of the best compound movements you can do. But I have an 18 degree scoliosis problem (curvature of the spine) and my L5 vertebrae has slipped out slightly. I heard about a lower back belt that helps take the pressure of the lower back when doing regular squats. So what do you guys think? Thanks very much.

  • Dudes, don't try that shit. Ain't worth it. Just stop working out your legs man, not like it helps you gain your upper body any mass anyway and what the hell do you want your legs worked out for, they look great already. Just maintain it.

    If working out your lower legs would grow your upper body ANY at all, then you could just work out with your lower legs exclusively and become bigger, but you don't. And vice versa, your legs stay skinny if you never work them out. So just stick to leg press.
