  • ComMercial

  • Who else thought his surname was pronounced La-JO-ee before seeing this?

  • @psx2514 Actually, it's more lar-jwar (except that the "j" has to be pronounced like "si" in "Asian").

  • @psx2514 I did!

  • im a student at the university of windsor, and i didnt even know we had a paper. shit, now i might check it out, thanks jon

  • He aint that funny...His stuff gets really repetitive after a while. It helps though that he's a good looking lad..

  • im a french canadian (like him) and to you rednecks to pronouce his name its like jaun lajouwah

  • @hugoqc321 Dere's no Canada like French Canada. It's du best Canada in du land. Du rest of Canada is bullshit Canada. If you went dere for a day you'd understand.

  • Dam I want to buy those fucking papers

  • Jon

  • lol, your joie is pronounced in French. I though it was jon lajoy, but the way it is pronounced in French means the same as joy in English. French is my first language so i know.

  • @Techykabas fuck you snobby french pussy

  • @Harrythedangler Fuck you, lardass American Asswhole!

  • @Techykabas i love you

  • @Techykabas it isn't your first language because you'd of known how to pronounce joie.

  • @MrShnizzle69 what the f*ck are you talking about! I've been learning English for the last 3 years, do you think it would've been something, that would've came to my mind easily? It's like i knew he was Canadian, so GTFO you troll!

  • @Techykabas Chill dude.

  • @Techykabas

He is canadian so I guess he must have french ancestors.

  • @VannevarBush he's from Montréal so his french ancestors probably are his parents

  • @paixetamour1

    Yeah, maybe.. I dont know.

  • i thot it was john la jo E

  • @pumpkinheadjrb me 2!!.. :O

  • they spelt his name wrong in the title its jon not john

  • jon lajoie is from quebec "canada" montreal he is french but he speaks english too

  • he's not french... he's canadian

  • well he is from quebec, his first language is french... thats mean he is quebecer before being canadian

  • @hippurus1 French Canadian. It's like calling an American English.

  • strangely even thought is name is french his first language is english ... when he speaks in french he has a small accent and he deforms a little bit some words ... you need to be french to see the variations i guess

  • hahaha langestock lmfao thts soooo funny

  • you think schools should teach people hwo to pronounce random foreign last names?

  • @manhenk his name is very easy to pronounce wrong. Although "Joey" is really bad, mispronouncing it as "La-hoy" has some linguistic backing to it. Also, langestock makes a very valid point.

  • The guy is canadian there is nothing to discuss about!! French ancestors.. come on.. stop arguing.. I am simply right and that´s that!! hehe

  • @manhenk Just to clarify, I am of Spanish and Italian decent, not French. Furthermore, you are not right because believe it or not, most people don't go to school to major in the correct pronunciation of French-Canadian last names. And once again, La-hoy would could quite easily be a correct pronunciation. So you can go ahead and stop trying to act like an expert in the field of French onomatology and phonetics

  • Comment removed

  • @manhenk Why on earth would we do that? There are already enough arrogant assholes telling us what to do on a daily basis. At least we can tell you to shut the fuck up without being arrested.

  • I always pronounced his nast name wrong! I pronounced it Jon LaJoey lol

  • same but my friend corrected me

  • i thought it was pronunced la-hoy

    He`s FRENCH from CANADA

    montreal actually!

people really need to learn this...

  • i knew that he's French speaking Canadian but still didn't have idea how to pronounce his name :)))

    now i know,

    thanks Jon! ;)

  • so THIS is how his surname is pronounced!

  • haha!!

  • Yeah, I was also curious about that issue. ;D

    And now I already know!

  • No this is not, but you would not have understand if he had prononced it in french

  • actually jon is said the same way in french and english. except maybe in france but jon stays jon, like john. and i think his real name is jonathan, so you so Jon liike in english even in french.

  • ... I was talking about Lajoie... not Jon (who is Jonathan as you said)

  • i dind't know too! xD

  • @86kinky86 It means "(the) joy" in French. Joy = la joie

In fact, he mispronounces it himself. The "a" of "la" is more the one in "far" than the ones in "vagina" (sorry for this last example ... first one that came to me. Dunno why).

  • @LePatay Wrong.

  • @ajdashnz Well, I’m French. So ...

  • my dad complained to the mail diliverer of the Lance to stop bringing it to my house
