It's supposed to produce a sort of high, but it's very short lived and extreamly dangerous, mostly because it can collapse you ari passage and kill the player. Btw, the Konami call is the BEST EVEERRR!!! I also am obsessed with the UFO ending for this game, lol.

Ah yes, I went through the Planetarium instead of the art room. That room is a bit more frustrating though.

I remember that shadow girl the first time I came through and I thought, "Oh crap! There she is! I got to get around here without going back into the nightmare relm!" Also, I had the same thing happen to me in the Chemistry room with the little girl as well. Scared the crap out of me too, so you aren't alone.

I think i figured out that chess puzzle, though it took some time:

1. White moves first.

He moves the white rook to A6, just one place underneath the left black pawn.

2. this leaves black to only two legal moves:

the first move would be to defeat the rook using his pawn from B2 - Whites turn then would be to move his pawn to B2. Checkmate, since the pawn is secured by the white king.

the second move would be to move the black bishop to some place. Whites turn then would be to defeat the pawn from B1 with his rook. Checkmate, since the rook is covered by the white pawn - plus, black does not have his bishop in position to cover that.

oh, and by B2 i mean the right black pawn(B7), and by B1 i mean the left black pawn(A7). Got the board setup messed up in my head ^.^

move the queen forward one space, take out the bishop or whatever it is, then move the rook all the way forward and take out the other pawn/bishop thing.
