Bangkok has some beautiful scenery but the city itself is quite vile and disgusting. The crime rate is horrid, nice to visit for awhile but not to live.

If i may suggest, if ever ud stop again in bkk, u might want to visit the jo luis puppet show in down town bkk, near suhkumvit area, or siam niramit (biggest play-stage in asia), klong river and go to chang mai province.. It may also come in jandy to know "khapp kon khru (kapun kah)" thanks when spoken by a female.. Sawasdee khu (sawadi kah) hello..
