@77Merav actually i am not 10, also i plan to live in Russia for about six to ten years. i plan to move there in about ten to fifteen years. also, why do you claim to know my agenda? as far as i know i don't have an agenda, also, i really wouldn't call myself left wing. for most people my views would actually be right wing. i am very conservative on more than a few issues. the only difference is my views change based on the failings and triumphs of society as a whole, not just a few.

The big 3 economic systems were explained to me like this: Capitalism - the private sector controls the ways and the means. Socialism - The gov't controls the ways, the public controls the means. Communism - The gov't controls the ways and the means. With that, Socialism strikes a happy medium between Capitalism and Communism.

These republicans going on about Dems and Obama being a socialist...ummm Teddy Roosevelt starting the socialist welfare programs...and not sure if he was repub but i think he was but in any case, it was not started by recent Dems. Oh, and Teddy did that cuz he had polio as a kid and had leg braces. So yeah, he saw a special need for that sort of thing. Compassionate conservatism is anything but these days...

I agree with your last sentence. However I believe you have Teddy confused with Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Teddy was a Republican, but he was quite progressive for his time, and did "trust busting" to get rid of monopolies. Welfare as we know it did start under FDR, but it was New York City which started it, not FDR. He did however start Social Security. Wiki both presidents for more.

I've long said that a little socialism is a good thing. Public schools are socialistic, so are public roads, etc. What gets me is the hypocrisy of Republicans, who decry "welfare queens" and hardly blink at welfare for corporations.
