is that the great del rosario i hear in the background? how i miss him and his weekly class meetings where hearing playing like this was the norm.: rachel kudo, brenda huang, conrad tao, inna faliks, marta aznavoorian, brenda lee, andrea schneider -- all passed through the master's hands. what a nurturing environment he cultivated. my daughter was fortunate enough to study with emilio.
The kid has more talend in his left pinky than I have. What matters is did I enjoy his playing of this piece. Ok here it is. Yes I enjoyed it alot. Thanks Andrew.
This kid is definitely a prodigy, but where is his place among other prodigies? I do not really think that high. There are other prodigies who play with soul.
Despite the rather immature comments posted earlier (especially posted by the rather jealous-toned wjdghks3), this guy has amazing talent. Obviously not up to professional standards, but it is very clear that he will have no trouble getting to that stage. Great job Andrew!
Very nice for a 12 year old kid! Now, my advice to the kid: Enjoy your talent and create something! don´t limit your talent to repeat someone else music. Do like Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, Stravinsky... create something original ! A Jazz school may help you develop creativity.
Whatever, I like it more than Yundi Li's still. Don't get me wrong, I love Yundi Li, I just don't like his Chopin. His playing of this scherzo just sounds kind of rushed to me. I prefer Andrew's.
When you grow up your name will be writen in history pages as the best pianist of 21th century! Bravo Andrew when i hear you i regret for the moment i stopped piano lessons! Really... How much time do you need to learn (let's say this piece)?
i disagree with tidusauron12. i think he does a good job of adding "life" into the piece. just watch how he plays it. his head bobbles and his hands lift off the keyboard so violently. i thought this was very good for a kid his age. great job man. keep it up.
OK. Nice; the only thing I had a problem with was your characterization; I didn't get any feel of direction; and that's what makes you... *special* (in a good way) when you play. This piece isn't really that hard, and you seem to have a good grip on it; so start adding more life to it.
Andrew, You already have a brilliant technique for your age. However, do you know what you want to express in this piece? How would you characterise it?
Do you know that the middle part is a Polish Folksong, and how do you interprete that? Best wishes.
You are gifted!!! Keep playing in this such wonderful way!!!!

A bit noisy the central section, you have to feel the magic in that notes, and to stress the contrast between epic poetry and lyric poetry.

YOU ARE SO AWESOME, this is a really hard piece... And you're only 12. How long have you been playing ...?
Ichimaru91 3 years ago
This kid has a lot of talent, but needs to relax shoulders and work on achieving a wider dynamic range and color. Nice job here.

Come on!!! Just for the first two three bars, you can tell the difference between Yundi Li's and Andrew's.
Yundi's is very mature and sounds very professional. Andrew's is rushing.....

Most of the works Yundi plays is Chopin. After that you have liszt, rachmaninoff and whatever else.

What a mature sound for a 12 year old. Andrew, you are phenomenal! Do you want to be one of the greatest pianists? If so, just keep playing.

Overreact much? He doesn't even have the talent to even be a pianist much less "the best pianist of the 21st century."

Great job man, keep practising on your piano, you have the potential to become a great pianist.

Get the fuk outta here. You need to have your ears checked. Or you were wasted when you listened to this. "Better than Yundi Li's" what a joke.
