@AJD7DC uhm this is what I did to my guitar. well if you have a strat-like one.

choose the first pick-up of the guitar. the one that is the closest to the neck.

if you have a strat-like guitar, there are two tones and lower them so it has a bass-like sound. make sure that the volume is also maxed in the guitar

in the amp, max the distortion, adjust the desired volume. if you have a volume for low medium and high, max the low, adjust the high and make medium zero.

If you want to get a real thick heavy 1960's sound use a tube amp and a good quailty Les Paul. Good job though. I also can play this. It does sound better thouge a tube amp though.
