  • really its impossible not to head bang to that main riff

  • ok...i am i a rapper first and fore most ......i like metallica..so fuckin what..why do people compare everything to rap?? apples and oranges folks.

  • @wiggpusha excuse the typo's.

  • fuck, so epic!

  • Today's dire music scene is what drives me to listen to music like this. Justin Bieber? Give me Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera anyday (or everyday).

  • Rap and hip hop is not music. It's singing

  • @Chizzy963369 techno also , only ritms :))

  • @Chizzy963369 correction....it's talking

  • This was before bob rock got ahold of them

  • @TheHeavy666Metal That's true, but the Justice album was really bad in terms of the production. If Bob Rock Had produced that it would have been so fucking heavy, it would have been out of this world. Whatever you say about Bob Rock he knows how to produce a great sounding record (St Anger excepted). Rick Rubin Is terrible. I hope they don't use him for the next!

  • James Badass *-* I LOVE HIM ! «'33

  • if metallica could only make songs like Master, Harvester, Creeping death, and Metal Militia again it would be fucken awsome cuz the music they make now is nothing compaired to this ( Since Load there songs havent been as great ) .

  • bands may come and go,but metallica will stay in our hearts forever, every second of their songs make my heart beat stronger.

  • @IamMantas1 They make hearts beat stronger, pulses racing faster, minds go insane and they sure make the Metal atmosphere intense......

    :-D

  • WOW!!!!!!!! The good old days!!!!!!

  • if i had a time machine i would save cliff!

  • @nintendoawsomeman

    i'd kill the bus driver!

  • No one dislikes this video, you know why? You know the answer.

  • @xRiptide441x

    cause its fuckin Metallica!!!

if you hate them, then you hate metal!!

    \m/

  • @strikeout1991 Makes me wonder how so many people can see "music" in stuff like Rap, R&B and Hip-Hop......

We have bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden in our lives, so why would people say they hate Metal, and say they love guys like 50 Cent, N-Dubz and Chipmunk......?

    Metal forever............

  • No words... Fucking awesome doesn't cover it.

  • what a fucking awesome concert!!!

  • 1:20 METALLICA ROCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • Does anyone else feel the raw vocal power of Jason when he says "Language of the Mad!!!"?

    :-D

I love it when Jason sings!!!

    :-D

  • I knew that this was played over two nights, but the DVD is so well edited together, and it does throw a lot of people off by thinking that it's all one night!

    :-D

  • OMG

  • 4:45 Creepy bastard! jk jk xD

  • so hell awesome song!!!

  • u know .. metal makes u insane!!

  • look closely...

i love metallica so badly and i dont want to blame them for something but look when they play battery in seattle 89. you see on the tape that sometimes, james's wristband is there and sometimes not.. /,,/

  • They played two shows at Seattle 1989 over two nights

What you see when you watch it, is actually bits of the two shows edited together to look like one. Though the audio is all from one show.

  • yeah, thats right it was two nights and they just used the best images from both to make this video

  • who is playin between 1:05 to 1:20 ??

  • you right Moo, noone plays o.O

  • mhh i asked me this too

  • Near 1:07 you can see james strumming twice. They're playing but the camera doesn't show them doing so.

  • OMFG! I JUST NOTICED THAT!

  • @MooMooMama1

James is on the far left. hes the one playing

  • The greatest song, ever.

  • That gig was the moment that they bacame legends

  • Maybe in the mainstream rock world. After became legends after Ride the Lightning album

  • metallica has cock

  • My mind is sofocated ...yeahhhhhhhhhh

  • language of the mad!!!!!! FUCK YEAH!!!!!

  • 2:32 is orgasmic....It can't get any heavier

  • AH! YESS! i love this song just for that part!

  • You are right. This is the best version ever.

  • seattle concert is the best concert of metal music history.this is the best version of this song ever listened

  • Metallica fueled by alcohol...

  • WOw .. sigh*

  • This concert is the BEST that they have ever performed. harvester of sorrow is my favorite song off of the justice album. and the justice album is my favorite album too. metallica is gonna keep rockin the word till hell freezes over. then they will be "trapped under ice". METALLICA!!!

  • This is the greatest show anybody has ever done!!!

  • Kill 'em All, Lightning, Puppets and Justice.

Bad-ass originality and energy on a whole new level regardless of how old it is. Period.

  • if i get a time machine im going to that concert

  • @johnnycoolguy9 take me with u

  • @johnnycoolguy9 If I get a time machine I'm gonna be in Metallica!

  • who is that group of people at 4:43?

  • omg, best live ever

  • i wonder what metallica would have sounded like had Cliff not died. one things for sure. he would never have aloud them to get that bob rock shit

  • there would have been more bass solo, he died at age 22 and he alredy made a great bass solo used in kill..just imagen wat he could have done later on

  • he died when he was 24

  • sorry, don't know all of metallicas history, who died and why? and who is the replacement now?:/ tnx

  • Cliff (bass player) died in a bus accident while touring in .....'86 i believe.....Jason was his replacement up until early 2000s. he left the band to pursue another "project" he had. Robert is CURRENTLY their bassist.....i think thats all correct. feel free to correct me if im wrong

  • its right. did u know jasons gonna play with them for the r&r hof

  • alright thanks mate!

but the three others are still the same, I know james is cause can hear it on his voice tho but the others has been there from the start and still active IN Metallica yeh? ty

  • No the original guitar player Dave Mustaine was kicked out in 82 or 83 and replaced by Kirk Hammett.(Mustaine later started Megadeth)

The drummer Lars Ulrich was the guy that started the band and he is still amongst them.

  • okok! thanks for the answers guys:) good wishes from sweden, one of the main floors in the home of metal! xD

  • You know, Metal originally came from Finland ^^

  • I do, so fuck you ^^

  • Ok, how ? xP

  • Duh? I know idiot. You know what's sarcasm?

  • Their actuall guitar lead guitar player was Lloyd Grant, but he was there for a short time. He plays the solo on hit the lights. He was kicked out in 82' and replaced by Dave Mustaine

  • YEP YOU ARE CORRECT ON IT ALL

  • the accident happened in "Skåne" in Sweden

  • If you want to, you can watch Metallicas movie named "Some kind of Monster". It was recorded during the time Metallica recorded their St.Anger album in 2003 i think. That movie is very good, especially if you like Metallica =)

  • how many people attended this???

  • God I really hope they play this and fade to black January 18th in Boston. I seriously have to watch this entire concert every day.... so epic...

  • this must be the greatest metallica performance? every clip from seattle 89 in here fucking rocks!and the crowd..WOW!!!or im a wrong?

  • I was at this show & it was AMAZING! The Damaged Justice Tour was by far the best tour they did post Cliff Burton. They were still Metallica at this point and hadn't put out a single album or song that didn't rule so it was incredible to be there. SO glad I got to see them in the 80's before the dark times began.

  • Dude you're so fucking lucky. I'd give anything to have been at this show.

  • Metallica really were the coolest thing in the world back then. I saw The Black Album tour 2-3 years later & it just wasn't the same. Everything from belches to fuck ups in the songs were staged as I found out from friends that ALL of the stuff that seemed impromptu & funny also happened the next night. Not to mention The Black Album was the death of them for me. They hadn't put out a record that wasn't brutally heavy with ripping fast songs & The Black Album changed that. I almost fell asleep.

  • Half the stuff they did on most of their tours was staged and planned (even before Black), if you watch videos on youtube and listen to some of their live recorded concerts. The black album really destroyed their credibility as an untouchable metal band. I love the album actually, but it doesn't touch the first 4 albums, and every time I watch a video from the old days I can't help being reminded of the 90's.

  • This is definitely one of the best MetallicA songs. The intro is just insane.

  • james was a beast his performance on stage was AWSOME

    1989 at their best

  • This concert makes me an orgasm...

  • Shit, I love this song, I love this show!!!

  • lars and james shld grow there hair out long again lars is a bad ass

  • yeah but hes a prick. watch some kind of monster to see what i'm talking about. lol

  • i agree witu dude!

  • Dude, Enter Sandman fucking rules.

  • dude, no it doesn't

  • No it wouldn't have you fucking idiot. That would have this concert much worse. All these songs are the best of metallica and metal itself. Sandman is one of the worse.

  • fine thats just ur opinion i fuckin love enter sandman but go ahead and hate it u fuckin bitch

  • great song and great concert!!!

  • Maybe the heaviest Metallica song of them all. \../ \../

  • nah, damage inc or leper messiah. it's still badass though.

  • no listen to the thing that should not be.

  • why only 656 viewers???? that song is fucking great!

  • because everyone watches the one played in the Soviet Union with about 500,000 Russians going ape-shit, and having fights with the police/army. Though, this is a fucking awesome video too of Metallica at their best

  • best ever hell yeahhhhhhhh

  • best concert ever
