In that same shot, on the road, parked, is what seems to be a white van, which gives a reasonable indication at how far the object/projectile went before the scene change.

Seems to have traveled at least 1km with no sign of a decline in height. I very much doubt that a tank would have a curved incline like that & travel that far without showing a decline.

I saw the live footage on the news and I swear I saw cars fleeing from the water but they were still not fast enough, the ones that were near the tsunami wave...now imagine how fast this object is traveling if it's covering distance faster than the water and the cars. it also seems as if it was 'jumping' or boosting itself to gain speed.
