  • TO OLD MOVIES

  • Sólo ver que pusiste en posición 9: "los 13 guerreros" plop, plop plop, plop, :S te me caíste, ya no volví a ver más, ni hablar, no voy a perder mi tiempo.

  • Braveheart

  • nr 1: The Tudors!

  • csnc82, 13th warrior very accurate historically except the morning after bowl scene, Pre-Viking druids never believed in the devil either, as liars thru history have said. druid empire at height encompassed all PreEurope and Asia to what is modern day china and Mongolia as far south as the Black sea at least.

  • @dragonmama12 Sorry but the 13th Warrior isn't very accurate at all. Look at the variety of armour the Vikings wear. It ranges from Roman gladiatorial helmets to 14th Century Plate. It's just a fun film not to be taken in serious.

  • Im looking for movies about the middle age not fcking directed in it

  • The absolutely best are: "Andrei Rublev" by Tarkovski and "The Seventh Seal" By Bergman

  • Juana La Loca was EPIC. I love it too.

  • this list has one major mistake! you have restricted yrself to only englih movies!!!!!

and middle ages is a 1000yrs story of history of many nations..... such a list cannot be done without many french or italian movie...not mention romanian, russian or polish! YOU HAVE FAILED!

  • 13th warrior all the fucking way.

  • @MarquiseCorvinus The 13th Warrior was fantastic! Great flic.

  • Ladyhawke ?

  • i call them sword movies,my favorites that spring to mind, black death, iron clad, gladiator, spartacus, the eagle,Braveheart.all relatively new films not for any particular reason

  • why are all these movies that old? there are better ones out now.

  • @Centration If you refuse to watch movies that are over 10 years old, you shouldn't feel offended if people refuse to watch your favorite movies five years from now. Really, people, broaden your horizons. How do you know if it's superior if you refuse to watch it? Heck, these movies are about the middle ages, that's 500 years ago.

  • @ijwi well sorry, but these movies are OLD and not 10 years old but OLD Movies like el cid contains bad acting. That's why.

  • All this Old Movies r crap... sigh no one would even watch these with those graphics

  • @brbtoilet kids these days.. "graphics" dont make a movie great. storyline and good acting does.

  • @nukanukanuka i cant watch a movie if graphics sucks

  • @nukanukanuka Exactly, and old movies have worthless acting for the most part..

  • @nukanukanuka I like a movie with cool graphics, but I'll take good acting storylines over visuals any day :).

  • @nukanukanuka old timer

  • @nukanukanuka pornos dont have good storylines they are as repetative as day and night, most porn stars are high school drop outs who never took acting classes. so there i made you wrong cuz pornos are great :D

  • @nukanukanuka I must admit something to you old man, graphics helps allot.. you dont want to warch a movie in 240p for expample... old grumps these days, dont understand modern technology :/

  • @nukanukanuka And good music :P

  • @nukanukanuka by good acting you mean overacting

  • @SudderCaine not to mention one sided story lines

  • @brbtoilet Your blind listen to nukanukanuka he knows what hes talking about and you dont call it "graphics" when it comes to movies they are visual effects looks like you play to many video games (i know your comment is 2 months old but i really dont care

  • @brbtoilet noob

  • @brbtoilet watching the movies for the graphics is like eating Italian food in China town.

  • If you haven't seen ARN: THE KNIGHT TEMPLAR yet, I suggest you check it out. Awesome epic!

  • Juana la Loca is a film concerning 16th century events - not middle-ages.

  • kingdom of heaven is an awesome one... very under rated imo

  • where is alenxender Nevski from eiseinstein ?

  • nice video, even thought i didn't like el cid becuase it was way too baised and historcialy innacurate. But if it came to me, i would put Kingdom of Heaven in my top ten. it was an epic movie and accurate

  • @morerad123 kingdom of heaven was not accurate at all my friend..Balian of Ibelen was about 50 years old during the Guy de Lousignan reign and Sybilla found shelter in the Constantinople 's Imperial court after the destruction of the Kingdom of Jerusalem..

  • @TheKILLA317 yeah but i meant like how the events turned out and the movie wasn't too baised like other movies about the same topic. but yeah, the characters were'nt acurate at all. balain wan't the chivilrous knight as he was in the movie as for his real main focus was on loot and women. also, i think he's been to the holy land more than just once.

  • where's army of darkness :(?

  • what a creepy music man u fucked up my day

  • is el CID about british cops ?

  • I would suggest "Krzyzacy" a Polish film about the Battle of Grunwald in 1410, where Poles, Lithuanians and Bohemian Czechs defeated the Teutonic Knights, and any of Jerzy Hoffman's films of the Henryk Szienkiewicz Trilogy about the wars of the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth: With Fire and Sword, The Deluge, and Fire on the Steppe (Pan Wolodyjowski) all though these are actually set in the Renaissance, not Middle Ages (1648-late 1600's)

  • @matthompson is the movie somewhat new or old? I love new medieval movies ^_^

  • In the Middle age Spain was ruled by Arab Muslim.....

  • @Lee7559 haha I'm sorry ): I watched it in my Spanish class with a bunch of people I hated including the teacher and she always talked during the film and ugh it was a nightmare. I'll watch it again. I promise (:

  • i HATED El Cid D: soooo boring and i didnt get any of it :C

  • @JockeyGirlLuvsHorses SACRILEDGE ! how could you not love El Cid ? its the best film in the world with the best actor that ever lived.

Watch it again, its a story of love, honor and great courage.

  • Does anyone know which movie i think from the 80's has a knight standing on a white horse on the poster with an yellow eagle on his chest???

  • Ladyhawke is so good :):)

  • the messenger, joan of arc is the best medevil film of all time !!!

  • El Cid is the greatest movie ever

  • The Thirteenth Warrior contains fantasy elements, but it is set in the 600s I believe, which is either the late Classical Period or the early Medieval Period. Pretty much anything set after 500AD until 1500AD is "medieval." The Warlord is as medieval as you can get, taking place in the late 11th or early 12th century. Great video thanks for posting.

  • .love this HIStoricl MOvies, but what ABout REineMARgo , BRavehart? DRAcula? INtheNAMeoftheROse? Conan ?

  • @faridjabba

Dracula is Victorian unless I'm mistaken, Conan is something from the Hyborian age; basically a mythical time.

  • this is the best recopilation

  • 'Flesh and Blood' is the best... talk about gritty and nasty!

  • what about Mongol? and nice music. i guess it is from M2TW

  • @kvicken2000 Well, the vikings were a group of cultures that develop and raid Europe between VII century and XII centuries, so this societies were medieval, even if they were not in epicenter of feudal europe.

  • @csnc82 love your list! can you make a list of greek historic movies and also Chinese historic movies?

  • @juliusyeung0330 Thanks for your suggestion...I will do it!

  • @csnc82 Feudal Europe is not the only thing of Medieval Europe

  • @csnc82 I'm not sure what sources you've used, but the viking age officially stopped when christianity found it's way into Scandinavia in the X century. Thereafter the only raiding and pillaging the scandinavians performed was to further spread christianity in northern Europe. You can argue that the viking times were a really early part of the medieval times in Scandinavia though.

  • @kvicken2000 And Viking Age was it wich age?XD Modern?

  • @ImperialGuard9001 in Northern Europe, the Iron age ends with the Viking age. After the Viking age...The middle age starts

  • @kvicken2000 middle ages has 2 parts 1 after the fall of the roman empire til 800 -900 or something then the second part is between 1000 and 1400

  • @kvicken2000 The problem here is Iron Age ends in different periodes in North and south Europe. In the Mediterranean, Iron Age ends in 8th century BC with Antique Greece, and Roman Empire (known as classical antiquity) and it ends with The Early Middle Age from the 5th century to approximately 1000 AC. After it we have the High Middle Age. For us, Middle age goes from the 5th to the 15th century so the viking Age is inside it.In north Europe Iron age last more time, thats why you see it diff

  • @123krisa Yes, that's my point! I have received almost 500 replies now about my comment....I better delete it lol

  • @kvicken2000 the 'viking age' WAS in the middle ages...sheesh.

  • @sigilant In Scandinavia we always say Viking age. because it was that time WE shone.

  • @kvicken2000 , Im HIStorian, What Period woudl that be then ?

  • @faridjabba 922 A.D.

  • @kvicken2000 it's in 922. A.D. i think

  • @kvicken2000

Yes it is. It is the time from 500 to 1500 CE. From the fall of the Western Empire to the Renaissance and Modern era.

  • @kvicken2000 dark age you mean?

  • why the fuck do you show us this shit made in the 70's fuck i dont care i want modern day films

  • most of the movies i see in this vid are to old for my time

  • @yougonasorry you have to know where you have been before you know where you are going

  • "...The 13th warrior...main characters were not real".

Except Antonio Banderas' character, Ibn Fadlan, is based on an actual guy who travelled to Volga Bulgaria and wrote some of the first records about the Rus vikings.

  • Oh come on....

No Braveheart? No Exculiber? No Jean d'Arc???

Its a good list but not really fair and complete.

    Good work tho.

  • @pressurex THat's right

    Breaveheart is amazing

  • dude braveheart is in my best medievel movies but nice vid bro

  • You could fit all this on one clip... You don't have to show all this video.

  • That would be greater if you had left the audio untouched.

It is good to know these movies but feel them as they are is much better.

  • lol u have the 13th warrior but no braveheart?

  • The movie 'The 13th Warrior" is based on Michael Crichton's book, 'Eaters of the Dead'.

  • thank you for nice job. THANK YOU.

  • Ladyhawke is one of my all time favorite Medieval Movies.

  • Yes, great m,ovie, I think they were in medieval times italy. great fall season forests, and scenes

  • @Nikita4ever9000 6:42 That goes for me, too. I like everything abou it, even the so-called rock music scoring that other people find so out of place and jarring.

  • @Nikita4ever9000 I cant agree more ^^

  • @Nikita4ever9000 ladysuck more like it

  • medieval movies are the best

  • Medival films are cool!.

    My favorite is Ivanhoe.

  • 13th warrior is awesome, totally underrated. There is a viking saga close to its story. Way better than pathfinder which made me spit with anger.

  • @AkumA05 The 13th Warrior was based on a book called "The Sin Eaters" and since the vikings traveled to far lands this story is probably based on something that really happened.

  • It's just a reworking of the story of Beowulf. A very good one, mind, but that's the purpose of the story. :)

  • @AkumA05 Pathfinder was good, but i wouldn't tag it with "viking!" all though it has vikings in it, it isn't much into them, just they fight, thats all it shows about vikings.

  • @AkumA05 "Made me spit with Anger" **********

  • @AkumA05 In my opinion Brave Heart must be in this list. I have a little problem being convinced that A. Banderas is playing a warrior, in real life he is a guy that I could break in half in 10 seconds, other than that " 13th warrior" is a good movie.

  • @junglemanlawyer1 I would be careful what I said if I were you. During the filming of the Movie it was said he was a natural with the sword. He also did Zorro and the same thing happened there, he did most if not all the sword fighting scenes. And he need very little training.

  • Comment removed

  • @Nikita4ever9000 How ironic....

Talking about "class" while trying to insult and making assumptions about someone that u don't even know!

  • @junglemanlawyer1 And what about you Jungleman talking about Antonio Banderas like you know him.

  • @Nikita4ever9000 What are u talking about? The dude has his face all over and u don't want people to talk about him? That is the price u pay for fame.

Again, he might be a good actor, but his no "warrior". And yes, I have beaten dudes twice his size, and yes he wouldn't last 10 seconds against me!

  • @AkumA05 what do you mean with spit with anger???

    Do you love indians??

  • @raztin1 No Pathfinder made me angry because I DON'T love Indians. That movie made Norsemen look like ugly devils. Inhuman monsters that were defeated by one man that was still a boy.

  • Charlton Heston was in le Cid, yes, with Sofia Loren, a greaaat film !!!!!!

  • Will have to track a few of these films down. I love a good medieval tale. By the way, the music used for this video is fantastic. Would love to know who did it.

  • The Music is from Werner Herzog's: "Nosferatu:Phantom der Nacht": "Mantra" and "Through Pians to Heaven".

  • Thanks for this csnc, this is awesome. Now I got time to kill before next semester. Watching all these medieval movies.

  • Glad to see Ladyhawke on the list. That was a gorgeous film, but the soundtrack really killed it.

  • Oh my GOSH!!! Charlton Heston was in El Cid??!?!?!?
