i think i know what you mean, you get a special type of clasp that has like a coiled wire thing, and you put the leather inside the coil, get a pair of pliers and squeeze the coil shut :) x

I used wire and seed beads. Those grapes would definitely not stay on if I used nail polish. lol. But yea, those bobby pins in this video are all secured with wire and there's like a special way I guess. I'm probably gonna make tutorials on them soon.
