  • I am looking for a Engineer with Solidworks Simulation experience for a client in Michigan!

  • cna i do this in exel, c++ or photoshop?

  • i thought the simulation swas not in the premium package, and solidowkr sodes not have a all in on package

  • @happygamestvfun1 Yes. It is. I don't know how you define "all in one", but SW Premium comes with static simulation of parts and assemblies. You can add thermal, natural vibration, buckling, nonlinear, linear dynamics and more by purchase of additional functionality. See their web site product matrix.

  • @Sigsite723 oh i have turns out it's the students edition that has all the fetures, premium is missing a few simulation tools if you looks closly on the matrix

  • @Sigsite723 damm... i guess i got cheated into this... i bought solidworks premium but i guess i can only access to static stress analysis... So what solidworks software i need to do thermal, fatigue, and other analysis?

  • @jongboon May I ask, who "cheated" you "into this"? That is a severe infraction and should be delt with if a dealer "cheated" you. The SolidWorks web site clearly states the functions available in the product matrix list. Look for "Products", then "Product Matrix". Click on "Analysis Products" tab. The other products with functions you mentioned are Simulation Professional, and Simulation Premium.

  • @Sigsite723 yeah, exactly... i should not use the word cheated. Is just that i bought the wrong software i guess. Its quite confusing actually when u talk about solidworks product because all their product name starts with "Solidworks" so u might not know if is for CAD or CAE purposes. From their websites, i think Solidworks Premium 2010 only allows us to do CAD and FEA for static stress analysis only whereas with Solidworks Simulation Premium 2010 you can use all analysis type. Is that true?

  • @jongboon Hi. Yes you are correct on both items.! If you can get the Student Edition, it comes with everything (including CFD). I believe it's $99.00 but you have to be enrolled in school full time, or know someone who is!

  • Kind of nice! Not to little information, not to much.
