Dude, you can't judge a school's "nerdiness factor" by their admittance rate. What if some "jock" school was very small & cheap so a lot of people wanted to go there but they could only accept 10%? Plus UCSB gets so many applications partly BECAUSE of its reputation as a party school. That being said, there are plenty of nerds (me included), but I'd wager less than at most other UCs.

No not necessarily. I think they have a low admittance rate b/c they get way more applications than they have room for. This, in turn, allows them to be more selective and have higher academic standards. So yes, they have high standards, nerds and a lot of party animals also. It's a great place!

uh, im done w/ college, kid. I graduated from UConn in 06', i know what im saying. Our acceptance rate is a little bit lower than ucsb's and its not such a crazy party school. U would not see ditsy, superficial, blonde bitches like the ones at ucsb at UConn. UConn is truly too difficult for them. Unlike ucsb, which seems to accept a bunch of them. So i now realize that ucsb in not nerdy-ish, but retarded. their accpetance rate is that low simply b/c theres too many ppl in cali applying there

That just comes to prove that although UCSB (where I currently attend) is full of party animals, we are significantly considered "better" (as your lameass would put it) than your school. While we may have the "blonde bitches", you'll have their equivalent in nerdy, a category in which you will fall under. Dumb cunt.
