I could never get past the dinosaur either. No matter what I tried, when I jumped, bart would just fall and die. I tried jumping on the head and it never worked like that?

@BigStickky Haha, atlast I saw the infamous dinosaur level in this game that my cousin always tell me. He said that maybe it is the end part of the game because nobody can beat it for its difficulty.

I played this game on PC, my record was @ 1.15. Needed some huge jumps always and couldn't do enough them all.

@mopbrothers I actually did with the help of a Club Nintendo Magazine and several days of learning the levels... I was able to finish Vs the Space Mutants and Vs. The World back then in 1995... Anyway, I tried again a couple of months ago and I couldn't pass the damn dinosaur head, it has a bug when you step on the head and suddenly you fall to the hole...

I had got this game for my birthday. I didnt play it that much because it use to drive me insane at times. The fartest I got was the 3rd level. I could only dream of beating this game. My grandma could only buy so many controllers.

Me and my friend worked on this stage for hours trying to beat that damn dinosaur. We finally shelled out 1.00 for the Acclaim hotline and asked what the strategy was. They told us and we were able to beat it after hours and many lives wasted. At about 2 am we got to the glorious power plant for the first time and I soon died using my last life. I did beat the game eventually, but more importantly, we beat that bastard dinosaur!

Yeah the backwards jumping is the only way to put any kind of control over where you'll be landing, this is something I had to master as a kid and eventually led me to beat the game.
