The free will to believe in something, whether it comes from god or not, is besides the point, because the question is whether or not this concept came from ourselves, or god; not to automatically assume that it came from god. You chose to acknowledge gods existince, but what is gods existence without you? How can god exist without people to choose that he does exist?

With respect using your example, if the man with the gun walks up to you knocks you down, takes your money then shoots you. You will say he is exercising his free will, what of your free fill not to be knocked down, robbed and killed? Why does the free will of people who will do harm supersede the free will of all others?
in your example the person being knocked down did not have a chance to exercise his free will, just like if i shot someone in the head and took their money. now if you saw the man coming to rob you, you have a chance to use your free will, if you fail and die....then its because you failed to over come that Situation..simple as that.

The person free will was to live to not be robbed, his families will was the same for him as were all his friends.

The question is really faulty from the start to ask for proof in God because everyone has a "graven image" of God so what God do they want proof of? Their image. So you can beleive in God but a beleif is not Knowing. you dont beleive your Cat is a Cat because you know it is.
So its not wrong to beleive in God but you must be honest with yourself and say I dont know God. you need direct experience and therefore until then you require faith.

The works of God are manifest according the holy scripture. All of reality is evidence of the hidden secret of God.
God does not come out of heaven. Absurd! That would put God as subordinate to heaven and not the entirety of All.
I think a lot of Christians miss the fact that the biblical scholars disagreed on a lot of things.
Thus... Thomas, Mary, Peter, the Book of Wisdom, Gospel of Truth,etc... were excluded from the Canon. So as to have an appearance of consensus.

And I challenge you to find scripture supporting that claim.

This is just one example of divine predestination in the Bible. Choice and Free-Choice are two totally different things.

"in" the image of God created he him.
Note that this can be taken two ways, we are created as Gods in which case God is not omnipotent because we have free-will (assuming God has)
Or, like a logo embroidered on a shirt, we are created inside the image of God.
