Personally I think that they suck live. the singing is horrible live, this is all studio electronically edited to make his voice hit the notes properly, without the computer effects he sounds horrible.
Hes such a mediocre singer, theres much more talented voices out there that get no recognition, he only gets recognition because of the talent carrying him in Dragonforce, that being Sam and Herman
Lol. Best vocals ever? that's we he quit the band right? He wasn't amazing or anything. He was the average power metal vocalist. Pretty much every power metal band that is worth anything has a better vocalist then him anyways.
@DioandMaiden They all have good singers, true, but I have found few male vocalists who can compare to ZP. I am not a guitar hero fan who jumped on the DF bandwagon, I am a dedicated fan of power metal, and I believe ZP is among the best.
@Bigsquid91 Umm as far as power metal goes.I can't find one who doesn't compare. Most are actually at least 10 fold of his ability and range. Michael Kiske, Tony Kakko, Ben Sotto, Timo Kotipelto the list goes on and on. In reality he is decent, but even in their first album his voice wasn't anything compared to them. THe only reason DF was even noticed by anybody was because of their leads. Which in my opinion are too harmonized which is why it always sounds the same. I know it is critical, true
@Bigsquid91 And another thing about him is he wrote very few of their songs compared to the other band members which is how you could tell he would have left and didn't really belong in the band.
@AnyeiLancyl in my oppinion every song of dragonforce until ultrabeatdown has awesome vocals but i had to pick only one song,i'd pick this one!ZP and Kai Hansen is my favourite power metal singers!
@Mephiast i really like the vocal part of their last album ultra beatdown and they are really awesome but i think the best vocal part of all their songs is this one! ;)
@skid544 i have heard all dragonforce songs and in my oppinion the best vocals of ZP contained in the song above the winter moonlight........!!!the song the fire still burns is an amazing song which also contains amazing vocals in the whole song....but in my oppinion the best ZP's vocals is in the song above the winter moonlight....see you soon man ;) :)
